Cyndy Malone

Cynthia “Cyndy” Rosemary Malone, 43, of Augusta, died Dec. 1, 1997, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
Visitation will be until 8 p.m. this evening at the Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta.
Her funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, at First Baptist Church, State & Kelly. Dr. Robert Box of First Baptist will officiate. Her father, Norbert Suther, will also speak. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
Cynthia Rosemary Suther was born Feb. 8, 1954, in El Dorado to Norbert and Shirley (Albott) Suther.
She married Dave Malone Aug. 17, 1973, in Augusta.
She was assistant manager at Cottonwood Point and a member of First Baptist Church.
This one-time school teacher here and in area school systems was active in her church and this community.
She started the praise music team at First Baptist as well as established the Pure In Heart women’s group there. Mrs. Malone enjoyed working with youth through the church.
Following her teaching career, Malone helped youth with a career development scholarships and she marketed jewelry.
She was a member of the Augusta Optimist Club and helped on many service club projects.
At one time, Mrs. Malone was a candidate for the Augusta school board.
Her survivors include husband Dave Malone of Augusta; son, Matt Malone of Augusta; daughter, Meaghan Malone of the home; brother, Kurt Suther of Amarillo, Texas, and parents, Norbert and Shirley Suther of Augusta.
A memorial has been established with First Baptist Church Building Fund. Contributions may be sent through the funeral home.

Raymond McAninch

Raymond E. McAninch, 68, of Augusta, died Monday, Dec. 1,1997, in his home.
His funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, at Hillside Funeral Home of Augusta Chapel. Burial will be in Tonawanda (N.J.) Cemetery.
Raymond E. McAninch was born Nov. 29, 1929, in
Reynoldsville, Penn., to Edward and Lillian (Penhall) McAninch.
He married Carol Nowark in 1951 in Tonawanda, N.Y.
He was a Boeing source representative before his retirement.
Survivors are wife, Carol Nowark McAninch of Augusta; sons, James McAninch of Seattle, Wash., and Michael McAninch of Lynchburg, Va.; daughters, Marlene McAninch of Portland, Ore., Jayne McAninch of Gladstone, Mo. and Debra McAninch of Tonawanda, N.J.; mother, Lillian McAninch of Augusta; and two grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials have been established with Hospice Inc. and the American Cancer Society. Contributions may be sent through Hillside Funeral Home of Augusta.

Philip W. Harding

Philip W. Harding, 87, of Augusta, died Sunday, Nov. 30, 1997, at Augusta Medical Complex Long Term Care Unit.
His funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3, at Dunsford Funeral Home chapel in Augusta. Rev. Bill Jeffress of First Church of God will officiate. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
Philip W. Harding was born Jan. 27, 1910, in Medicine Lodge to Charles Franklin and Rilla Elizabeth (Highfill) Harding-
He married Mary Lavina Gillette Sept. 17, 1930, in Pratt. She preceded him in death in 1971.
He was a city inspector and engineer for the City of Augusta. He was a member of First Church of God, Augusta.
Survivors are sons, Forrest Harding of Arkansas City, Gerry Harding of Fort Launderdale, Fla., and Clint Harding of Augusta; daughter, Kathy Howerton of Augusta; brother, Guil Harding of Coats; sister, Marjorie Eubanks of Sawyer and 18 grandchildren.
