Frank L. Bailey
Frank L. Bailey, 50, of Augusta, died Saturday, March 21, 1998.
A memorial service was held at 10:30 a.m. in Esbon. Burial was held at Esbon cemetery, pastor Bernie Dickson officiated.
He was born July 4, 1947 in Marysville, Calif, to Benjaman and Dorothy Bailey.
He married Cindy A. Corrick on Dec. 20, 1986. She survives and is a first grade teacher at Lincoln Elementary School.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
He was owner of the Bailey Discus Hatchery in Augusta. He loved his work and was very proud when he was recently won an international award for his web site on the Internet. (Bailey Discus.com)
Other survivors are his daughter, Tiffany Sheets of Windsor, Calif.; brother, John Bailey of Healdsburg, Calif.; father and stepmother, Ben and Edie Bailey of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; three nieces, one nephew, one great-nephew, and one grandson.
A memorial has been established with the family of Frank Bailey, 912 Lulu, Augusta, Kan., 67010.
Lois Fay Clark
Lois Fay Clark, 84, homemaker and retired professional seamstress died at home March 22, 1988. Service 1:30 p.m. Thursday, March 26, 1^98 at Hillside Funeral Home, Augusta.
Lois was born in Latham, KS to Charles W. and Lora E. (Wright) Hobkirk on December 4, 1913. They preceded her in death. Lois was raised in the Latham and Beaumont area. She had 5 brothers (Ray & twin, Earl, Orval, and Phillip), and 1 sister (Arlene) who
who preceeded her in death.
Lois married Alford Theodore Clark on February 17, 1935. He preceded her in death on April 30, 1990. Six children were born in this marriage, 3 sons and 3 daughters. Verla Rogene preceded her in death April 7, 1971. Surviving sons include Eldon and Lyle both of Augusta, KS and Alvin of Camarillo, California. Surviving daughters include Lorella Maggard and
Treva Ballinger both of Augusta. She also was preceded in death by 2 grandsons and 1 granddaughter. Also surviving is 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and a sister-in-law Mazie Hobkirk of Wichita.
Lois enjoyed sewing crafts, had a green thumb for growing flowers, was involved in church activities, and making toys for the needy children overseas. She was involved in 4-H Club and school activities with her chil-
