George Irving

George Irving, 77, of Augusta, retired printer for the Kansas Turnpike Authority, died Thursday, Jan. 28, 1999.
Visitation is from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
His funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 1, 1999 at Dunsford Funeral Home chapel. Burial follows in Elmwood Cemetery.
He was born July 21, 1921 in Baker to George and Omel Lenora (Greer) Irving.
He married Peggy Pooler in 1955. She preceded him in death in 1985.
He was a member of the Elks Lodge and belonged to the Prairie Hills Baptist Church.
Survivors include: sons, Gary and wife Joy Irving of Augusta; daughter Gayla Irving of Wichita; brother Robert Irving of Tulsa; sister Hazel Tollefson of Tulsa; and two granddaughters, Becca and Ellen Irving of Augusta.
Memorial has been established with the Prairie Hills Baptist Church or Augusta Girls Softball Inc., c/o Jay Harrison, 11 Lakeside, Augusta, Ks. 67010.
Services arranged by Dunsford Funeral Home.

Judy Sebbo

Former Augustan Judy Sebbo, 49, of Wichita, died Saturday, Jan. 9, 1999.
Her funeral will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12, in Elmwood Cemetery.
Survivors include: companion, Tip Carroll; son Richard of Wichita; daughter Carolyn of Wichita; parents Robert and Mary Murphy of El Dorado; sister Sandy Combs of El Dorado; and one grandchild.
Services have been arranged by Hillside Funeral Home East.

Glenn Stevens

Glenn L. Stevens, 76, of Douglass, co-owner with his wife of Stevens Lumber Yard, died Thursday, Jan. 14, 1999, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
His memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16,at the First Christian Church in Douglass.
Viewing will be until 8 p.m. tonight at the Hilyard-Smith Funeral Home in Doulgass.
He was born in Garrison, Mo., and moved to Kansas with his parents at an early age.
Stevens managed a lumber yard in Augusta prior to moving to Douglass. He worked in the lumber business all of his life.
During World War II, he served as a flight engineer for the Army Air Force in the South Pacific.
He also served on the Douglass City Council.
Survivors include: wife, Norma; son, Michael Stevens of Stilwell; daughter Janice Scaffi-di of Douglass; sisters Bernita Mark of Augusta and Cleone Richards of Hennessy, Okla; granddaughter Sarah; grandsons Jeffrey, Timothy, Aaron, and Matthew; and great-grandson Grant.
Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church in Douglass where he served as a deacon and elder.

Ralph Haas

Ralph Haas, 78, of Andover, long-time resident of Augusta who was affected by the flood, retired Copeland Acid Employee, died Monday, Jan. 18, 1999.
His funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 22, at the United Methodist Church in Augusta. He will be buried in Kechi.
Survivors include: wife, Geneva; son Rodney Jay Haas of Benton; step-son Patrick Michael Patterson of Haysville; daughter Katheryn S. Green of Great Bend; brother Johnny Haas of Benton; sisters LaVonne Robinson of Eureka and Joan Berry of Traverse City, Mich.; and two grandchildren.
Memorial has been established with the World War II Memorial, American Battle Monuments Comm., P.O. Box 96766, Washington, D.C., 20090-6766.
Services arranged by Hillside Funeral Home.
