Edna Lane Dies At AMCI
Edna Pearl Lane, 91, 1134 Ada, died Saturday at the Augusta Medical Complex.
Graveside services will be at at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Elmwood Cemetery. Rev. George Goudie will officiate.
She was born July 1, 1893 in Wichita to Willis and Jenny Chaffy Tremain.
She married Guy R. Lane May 14, 1913. He preceded her in death in 1933.
Survivors include sons, Calvin of Denver, Colo., and Melvin of Augusta; a daughter, Thelma Hughes of Augusta; 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Dunsford Funeral Home until 2 p.m. tomorrow.

E.L. Cabrales Dies At 52
Ellen Louise Cabrales, 52, White City, daughter of Gail Smith of Augusta, died at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita Saturday.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Skiddy, Kan. cemetery. Rev. William Caldwell will officiate.
She was born Feb. 17, 1931 in Pawhuska, Okla., to Imel A. and Lorinda Gail Wheeler Smith.
She married Guadalupe L. Cabrales Feb. 11, 1955 in Liberty, Mo. He survives.
Survivors include sons, Anthony L. of Wichita and Terry A. of Snohomish, Wash.; a daughter, Karen E., of the home, and a brother, Dennis Smith of Benton.
The Dunsford Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Eric Goeken Dies At 29
Eric Daniel Goeken, 29, 304 W. Kelly, died last night at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital in El Dorado.
His service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Elmwood Cemetery.
He was born Sept. 10, 1953 in Junction City to Fred and Mary Smith Goeken.
He was employed at Beech Aircraft Co., in Wichita.
Survivors include brothers, Warren and Jay, both of Augusta; a sister, Ellen Goeken of Augusta; mother, Mary Mears, and stepfather, Kenneth Mears, of rural Leon, and his grandmother, Katie Goeken of Augusta.
A son and a brother preceded him in death.

J.S. Bacon Dies At 69
Joel Samuel Bacon, 69, Estes Park, Colo., died at a hospital there Thursday.
His service was at 10:30 a.m. today at the Community Church of the Rockies in Estes Park.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta. Rev. Burl Allison Jr., will officiate.
Memorials have been established with the American Cancer Fund and the Elizabeth Knutsson Memorial Hospital in Estes Park.
He was born Sept. 26, 1913 in Allen County in Kansas to Egbert S. and Della Price Bacon.
He married Nelle Gwin April 26, 1947 in Valley Center. She survives.
He was a former owner of a car dealership in El Dorado. He bought the Calwell Real Estate Agency & Insurance Co., in 1959 and sold it to the Prescott Agency in 1973. He continued working for the Prescott Agency for 10 years.
He served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the Community Church of the Rockies in Estes Park.
He was a member of the American Legion, the Lions Club and past board member of the First National Bank of Estes Park. He was a charter member of the Estes Park AF&AM and the Board of Realtors.
Other survivors include a stepdaughter, Charlene Youngblood of Biloxi, Miss.; a brother, Frank E. Bacon of Dallas, Texas; a sister, Lois Baker of Ponca City, Okla.; two grandchildren; a great-grandchild, and nieces and nephews.
Three brothers preceded him in death.
The Dunsford Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements here.
