Therese Detmer

Therese Detmer, 72, Augusta, retired teacher and pastoral minister, died on Saturday, April 30, 2005.
Rosary at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, at St. James Catholic Church in Augusta; visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. at the church. Funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. on
Wednesday, May 4, with burial following at 2:30 p.m. at Willowdale Cemetery.
She was born on Sept. 20, 1932 in Ellinwood to Lawrence and Lucile (Chalfant) Petz. She attended elementary school at St. Joseph Ellenwood and St. Leo Catholic Schools in St. Leo. She was with the Sisters of St. Joseph for 15 years and acquired her degrees in education while being with the Sisters of St. Joseph in Wichita.
Therese was united in marriage to Martin Detmer on April 29, 1967. He preceded her in death On Oct. 20,1999.
She is survived by close friend and mentor, Reverend Lisle Potoroff, whom she worked with in
pastoral ministry for years. Other survivors are: sisters, Mary Lou Schutz (Gene) of Wichita, Priscilla Eck of Pratt, Laura Englebert (Ed) of Weslaco, Texas; brothers, Lawrence C. “Bud” Petz (Clara) of Weslaco, Texas, Joe Petz (Becky) of Wichita Falls, Texas, Leo Petz (Mary) of Aurora, Colo.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and sister, Janet Mertes.
Memorials may be made to St. James Catholic Church of Augusta or the Alzheimer’s Association.
Arrangements-under the direction of Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta.

Ruth A. Zlomke

Ruth Annette Zlomke, 84, Augusta, retired hairdresser, passed away on Saturday, April 30,2005.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 4, at the Augusta Church of Christ.
Viewing will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, with family to greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Headley Funeral Chapel in Augusta.
Ruth was born in Norfolk, Neb. on Dec. 10, 1920. She was the daughter of the late Orville and Elsie (Graham) Neal. In June 1941 she married Romane Zlomke in Neligh, Neb. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by: son, Steve Zlomke and his wife, Kate of Augusta; daughter, Claudia Beadle and her husband, Clifford of
Henderson, Nev.; brother, Morris Neal of San Diego, Calif.; sister, Deloris Atwood of Hill City; five
grandchildren, James Bernardo, Toni Ploense, Gale Masten, Courtney and Stephanie Beadle; five greatgrandchildren, Tanya, Kameron and Nathan Ploense, Lea Davis-Masten and Gentry Bernardo.
Memorials to the Augusta ; Church of Christ.
Headley Funeral Chapel of Augusta has charge of the arrangements.

Francis Frazier

Francis Earl Frazier, 87, Wellington, retired Santa Fe Railroad engineer, father and father-in-law of Gloria and Leroy Rosebraugh of Augusta, died on Saturday, April 30, 2005.
Service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, in the chapel of the Day Funeral Home in Wellington. Interment will be in Prairie Lawn Cemetery in Wellington.
Visitation until 9 p.m. this evening, with family present from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Other survivors include: wife, Margaret of the home; daughters, Karolyn Ritchey of Austin, Texas, Joyce Riecher of Mulvane; six grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren; brother, Deryol Frazier of Wellington.
Arrangements by Day Funeral Home and Crematory of Wellington.

Charles Leader

Charles O. Leader, 95, Andover, retired farmer and rancher, father and father-in-law of Charles Wade and Sharon Leader of Douglass, died on Wednesday, April 27, 2005.
Funeral service was held today at Hillside Funeral Home East in Wichita.
Other survivors are: son, Bejamin “Hershel” Leader of Wichita; daughter, Pamela Marie Leader of Noble, Okla.; one daughter-in-law; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were under the direction of Hillside Funeral Home East of Wichita.
