Jake Plett
Jake Plett, 88, Augusta, retired dairy farmer and long term member and deacon in the Augusta First Baptist Church, passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2005.
Viewing today until 8 p.m., with family present to greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Headley Funeral Chapel.There will be a private graveside service in the Leon Cemetery.
Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 14, at the First Baptist Church in Augusta.
His survivors include: wife, Hulda; sons, John of Andover and Tim of Cassody; daughter, Cathy of Andover; grandchildren, Richelle Cline of Kansas City, Mo. and Travis Plett of Emporia; three great-granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by: brothers, C. Jay, Dan, Joe and Bennie; sisters, Hannah Willems, Mary Foth and Selma Friesen.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the First Baptist Church of Augusta.
Arrangements are under the direction of Headley Funeral Chapel of Augusta.

Rev. Jim Little, 72, Douglass, retired United Methodist minister, died on Thursday, May 5, 2005.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the Andover United Methodist Church.
Interment will be in the Douglass Cemetery.
Visitation until 8 p.m. this evening, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at Smith Mortuary in Derby.
Survivors are: wife, Elaine; daughter, Becky Lynn Kelley of Wichita; son and daughter-in-law, Rev. Kent H. and TruDee Little of
Coldwater; brothers, Elwyn and Duane, both of Douglass, Elwood of Wichita, Robert of Jay, Okla.; sisters, Trudie Garvey and Margaret Polk, both of Emporia, Virginia Lamb of Eugene, Ore., Joyce Riggs of Fall Brook, Calif.; three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by son, Chris James Little in 1972, brother, Ernest, and sister, Martha Moore.
Memorials to Andover United Methodist Church and the Kansas West Conference Ministerial Education Fund.
Smith Mortuary of Derby has charge of the arrangements.

Richard William Salts, 73, Wichita, machinist, brother of Charlotte White of Augusta, died Saturday, May 7, 2005.
Graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 11, at Resthaven Cemetery in Wichita.
Visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, at Baker Funeral Home in Valley Center.
Survivors include: spouse, Jeannine of the home; sons, Richard Salts of Haysville, Charles Salts and John Salts, both of Wichita; daughters, Virginia McDaniel of Eureka Springs, Ark., Tisha Jacob of Bentley; brothers, Elmer Salts of Haysville and Howard Salts of Topeka; five grandchildren; one great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by one grandson and one brother.
Memorials to Harry Hynes Hospice In-patient — The Vyne.
Arrangements under the direction of Baker Funeral Home of Valley Center.
