Pauline C. Buskirk, 84, of Augusta died Saturday, July 23, 2005.
Her funeral service will be 10 a.m. on Friday, July 29, 2005, at First Baptist Church in Augusta with Pastor Terry Deaver officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
Viewing will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday at Hillside Funeral Home Augusta.
Pauline was one of three children born to Charles and Holland Foster on November 12, 1920 in Humboldt, Kansas. Pauline graduated from Chanute Junior College, majoring in Home Economics, and taught in a one-room school at Bronson, Kansas.
She married Harry L. Buskirk on June 15,1941 at St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church,
Humboldt. Harry preceded Pauline in death. Pauline worked at Beech Aircraft during the War. Her main vocation and passion was being a wife and homemaker. Pauline’s love for life and her savior lead her to teach Sunday school. She also was a Scout Leader, substitute teacher,
Welcome Wagon Hostess, and worked at Prairie State Bank. Pauline trusted Jesus Christ as her personal savior and was a member of the First Baptist Church. After the children left the nest, Harry and Pauline began to fulfill their life long dreams of traveling to far away
exciting places.
She leaves behind their three children; Mike Buskirk and wife Kerry of Augusta, Steve Buskirk and wife Marcia, daughter, Lisa Thompson and husband Gary, all of Wichita; eight grandchildren, Jake and Jenna Buskirk, Holland Kirsch, Heath, Evan and Elena Buskirk, Bailey and Skylar Thompson; three great-grandchildren and one arriving in December; two brothers, Don and Dick Foster, both of Humboldt; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
Memorials with Gideons, P.O. Box 471, Augusta, 67010 and Missionary Missions Fund, supported by Cumberland Community Church, 5476 SW 157th Terrace, Douglass, 67039.
