Carl Brewer Jr.

Carl Brewer Jr., 80, Winfield, father and father-in-law of Sondra and Larry Alley of Douglass, died on Wednesday, July 27, 2005.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 30, at the First Baptist Church in Winfield.
Other survivors are: wife, Charlene; daughter, Diane Cook of Winfield; three grandchildren; one greatgrandchild.
Arrangements are under the direction of Miles Funeral Service of Winfield.

James R. Smith

James R. Smith, 76, Cherryvale, retired Gas Service Company employee,
father of Cindy Perez of Augusta, died on July 21 2005.
Graveside services were held Monday, July 25, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery.
Other survivors include: sons, John of Cherryvale and David of Coffeyville; daughters, Raye Lynn Moran and Linda Henson, both of Cherryvale, Debbie Hagan of Wichita; sister, Carolyn Moore of Olathe;
15 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Vera.
Memorials are suggested to the Cherryvale Care Center and may be sent in care of Potts Chapel of Cherryvale.

Annie Beatrice Kessinger

Annie Beatrice Kessinger, 89, Grenola, mother and mother-in-law of Carolyn Mae and Jim Eastman of Augusta, died on Saturday, July 30, 2005.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 6, at the Grenola Christian Church.
Interment will follow, at Greenlawn Cemetery in Grenola.
Other survivors include: sons, Howard Dwane Kessinger and Thomas Gene Kessinger of Grenola; sister, Irene Purcell of Meridian, Texas; nine grandchildren; 18 greatgrandchildren; numerous nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow; brothers, Alex Reeves and Morgan Reeves; sister, Charlie Bailey; parents, Thomas and Mae Reeves.
Memorials have been established with the Haitian Christian Mission and Peace on Earth Ministries.



Letha Pringle

Letha Pringle, 86, El Dorado, homemaker, died on Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2005.
Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 8, at Friends Cemetery in Rose Hill.
Her survivors include: daughters, Reta Stubblefield of El Dorado and Phyllis Wilks of Rose Hill; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren.
Hillside Funeral Home of Augusta has charge of the arrangements.
