Lewis Edward Coots

Lewis Edward Coots, 64, El Dorado, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2006.
Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 4, at the Towanda Cemetery with Rev. Mark Sommerville officiating.
He was born on March 18, 1942 in El Dorado, the son of Lewis and Mary (Tomlinson) Coots.
His survivors include: brothers, James Coots of Tulsa, Okla., and Lindell Coots of Lynden, Wash.; sister, Mary Lou Taylor of El Dorado.
Memorial donations may be made to Creative Community Living, 722 Wedgewood, El Dorado, 67042.
Arrangements are under the direction of Dunsford-Zeiner Funeral Home in Augusta.

Charles Jason Robb

Charles Jason Robb, 34, Beverly Hills, Calif., grandson of Charles and Anne Robb of Augusta, departed this life as a result of a tragic accident on July 29, 2006.
A memorial service and celebration of his life is pending at Helgenfed Mortuary, 120 E. Broadway, Anaheim, Calif. Funeral services follow and are
pending with Smith & Kernke Funeral Home in Oklahoma City, Okla.
Jason was born in Oklahoma City, Okla., at St. Anthony Hospital and was delivered by the late Dr. Morris Curry. He attended grade school at Sky Ranch Elementary in Moore, Okla., attended Hefner Junior High School in Oklahoma City, and graduated from Putnam City North High School in Oklahoma City in 19990. He then attended US AO as a drama major, where he cofounded the first fraternity at USAO; Sigma Chapter of Phi Lambda Chi. Jason live a few years in Dallas, Texas and worked for Nations Bank, then moved to Los Angeles, Calif, in the mid 1990’s. At the time of his death, Jason was district manager for Southern Wine and Spirits in the greater Los Angeles area.
He was a kind and thoughtful man, yet was quite gregarious and charismatic, with a fun-loving spirit. He had many friends across the United States and made friends easily wherever he went. He was a loving son, generous to a fault and was at all times a consummate gentleman.
His other survivors are: his parents, Dan W. and Mary Faith Robb of Rochester, N.Y. and Cathy L. and J. David Blair of Nichols Hills, Okla.; his brother, Matthew and his sister, Jennifer Robb of Rochester, N.Y.

Audrey
Rawlings

Audrey Rawlings, 84, of Augusta, passed away Thursday, Aug. 3, 2006.
Viewing until 8 p.m. this evening, with family to
greet friends from 6-8 p.m. at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta.
Graveside Service 3 p.m. Saturday, August 5, at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta.
Those attending should use the Ohio Street entrance.
Audrey was born southeast of Augusta on Nov. 23, 1921. She was the daughter of Lawrence and Clona (Hooten) Godfrey. Mrs. Rawlings resided in the Haverhill and Augusta area her entire life. She graduated from Augusta High School in 1939 and later attended Emporia Teachers College. She belonged to several clubs in Augusta and was a member of the First Christian Church. During World War II she worked at Beech Aircraft as an inspector. She later worked at the First Christian Church, at Marion Alley Interiors and in the family's businesses. On April 18, 1942 she married Nevelyn Rawlings in Topeka. They owned and
operated 54 Motor Service with their partners Eldon and Nadean Tarman. They had an ice business, operated mobile home parks and started the first coin laundry in Augusta as well.
She is survived by: sons, Rick and his wife Ruth; Gary and his wife Nancy; Terry and his wife Jacque, all of Augusta; sister Joyce Ruggles, El Dorado; grandchildren, Ryan and wife Cara, Roger, Barry, Jessica, Brett, Jason and wife Misty, Jarrod and wife Lainie, Tiffany Pressnell and husband Keith; seven great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Nevelyn and sisters, Geraldine and Harriett.
Memorials to Via Christi Foundation: Cardiac Transplant.
Arrangements are under the direction of Headley Funeral Chapel in Augusta.

Raymond Duryea

Raymond W. Duryea, 89, Douglass, died Sunday, Aug. 6, 2006.
His memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 9, at First Christian Church in Douglass.
Mr. Duryea was a retired operator at the former Mobil Oil Refinery in Augusta.
He leaves his wife, Virginia, sons Richard (Ann) of Spring Lake, N.C., Donald Craig (Janice) of Douglass, four grandchildren, and seven greatgrandchildren.
Hilyard-Smith Funeral Home of Douglass is in charge of arrangements.
There will be no visitation.
Memorials to the Harry Hynes Hospice and the Douglass First Christian Chruch have been suggested.
