Norman D. Dee

Norman D. Dee, 60, Augusta, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2008.
Viewing from 1 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, with family to greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m., at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Service at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 21, at the Augusta Church of Christ. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta.
Norman was born on Feb. 4,1948 in Stella, Mo., the son of the late John Cecil and Florence Louise (Damiano) Dee. He was a preacher and former machinist for Boeing and Learjet. He was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ. On July 17, 1964 he married Connie Hir-shey in Carthage, Mo.
He is survived by: his wife, Connie; son, Darrin Dee and fiance, Tonya Chupkova of Wichita; daughter, Dana Branam and husband, James; sisters, Neomi Morrison and husband, Jim of Wichita, and Carole Byers and husband, Famous of Texas; grandchildren, Nicholas, Samantha, Zachary, Emily, and Danielle.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Gary,
Vince, Bill, Max, and Richard; sister, Patricia.
Memorials to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.

Kathryn Keck

Kathryn Keck, 66, Augusta, owner of Katie’s Corner, died on Friday, May 16,2008.
Visitation with the family, 7 - 8:30 p,m, this evening; funeral service, 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, both at Downing & Lahey Mortuary East in Wichita.
Survivors: husband, Claude; sons, Randy Stracener and Paul (Nicole) Winzer, both of Augusta, Terry (Bea) Keck and Kevin Keck, both of Kansas City, Mo„ Jonathan Keck of Park City; daughters, Sherrie Lynne (Charles) Laxson of Kansas City, Mo., Rachel (Mark) Oldham of Wichita, Sharon (Ray) Young of Latham; brother, Leonard (Linda) Brown of Hillsboro; nephews, Lane (Lisa) Brown of Island Lake, IL, Landon Brown of Littleton, Colo.
Preceded in death by parents, Leonard and Frieda Brown, and first husband, Charles
Stracener.
Memorial established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, KS 67202.

Jayda Rae Pringle

Jayda Rae Pringle, 2, El Dorado, daughter of Danae Pringle, died on Thursday, May 15, as the results of an automobile accident.
Visitation with the family from 6 to 7:30 p.m. this evening, at Carlson Funeral Home in El Dorado. Service at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 20, at the First Baptist Church in El Dorado. Interment will follow in Sunset Lawns Cemetery, El Dorado.
She was born on Aug. 25,2005 in El Dorado, the daughter of Danae Pringle. Jayda was a member of the Sunday School Class at the First Baptist Church, where she had many friends.
Those she leaves include: her mother, Danae of the home; grandparents, Karla and Steve Pringle; great-grandparents, Kathy and Keith Martin, Bill and Virginia
Pringle; uncle and aunt, Tysun and Paula Pringle; cousins, Kilyr and Logan, all of El Dorado; numerous great-aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends.
Memorials in her memory may be given to the Jayda Pringle Memorial. They may be left with Carlson Funeral Home, who is in charge of the arrangements.
