Mickey L. Frakes

Mickey L. Frakes, 73, Eureka, construction business owner and cattle rancher, passed away on Monday, July 7, 2008.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 10, at Koup Family Funeral Home in Eureka. Interment will follow at Bryant Cemetery in Latham.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda; son, Mike Frakes; daughters, Teresa Miller and Tami Evenson; five grandchildren; two step grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; brothers, Pete Frakes and Tommy Frakes; sisters, Talma Mailen and Wanda Lewis.
A memorial has been established in his name to the Eureka Saddle Club.

Ronald ‘Ronnie’ Little

Ronald H. “Ronnie” Little, 68 of Latham, died Sunday at Via Christi St Francis hospital in Wichita.
The family visitation will be held between 6 and 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Kirby-Morris Funeral Home in El Dorado. The Celebration of his life will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Latham United Methodist Church.
Ronnie was born Dec. 8, 1939 in Wichita the son of Robert and Marjorie Griffith Little. He grew up in Douglass and graduated from the Douglass High
School. On April 28,1951 he married Janet Ellis in the Cumberland Church parsonage. He moved to Latham in 1978. He was formerly employed by the Coleman Company, and retired as a machinist for Boeing Aircraft. His true love was taking care of his cattle on his ranch. He loved to hunt especially coyotes, fish and watch the grandkids participate in sports. Ronnie and his son Bill were both State wrestling Champs at Douglass.
Surviving family include his wife, Janet of the home; his mother, Marjorie, two sons, Bill and wife Jonna and Terry and wife Betty, all of Douglass; one brother, Martin Little of Augusta; grandkids, Tonja, Leah, Kane, Morgan and great granddaughter, Skylar.
He was preceded in death by one brother and his father.

Joan “Jo” R. Kohman

Joan “Jo” R. Kohman, 77, Augusta, passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2008.
Visitation 1-8 p.m. Sunday with family to greet friends from 4-6 p.m. at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Service 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 14, at the First Baptist Church, Augusta. Graveside service will be 3 p.m. at Baptist Cemetery, rural Hope, KS.
Jo was born in Hartshorne, Okla, on May 8, 1931; the daughter of the late Conway Coe and Margaret Coburn
(Williams) Lambert.
Jo graduated from the University of Kansas with a double major in Journalism and Home Economics. While at KU she met Ernest James "Jim" Kohman Jr. in dance class. They were married on Sept. 6, 1952. After graduation they moved to Buffalo, NY, where she had a food column on the Buffalo Evening News. Jo and Jim moved back to Kansas to raise their family. While being a mother, Jo returned tb school at
Wichita State University. She received two masters degree from W.S.U while working as an English instructor. Jo worked for the Augusta Daily Gazette as a feature columnist, also. On Dec. 1, 1989, Jim preceded her in death. A sister, Helen Marie Lambert preceded her in death also.
Jo was a member of Augusta First Baptist Church.
She is survived by: son, Jim Kohman and wife Lisa of Great Bend; daughters, Susan Fellows and husband Roy of Augusta; Nancy Prohn and hus-
band Huey "Buster" of Towanda, and Bette Regier and husband Jeff of Augusta; grandchildren, Nathan and Tristian Fellows, Sacia, John and Matt Prohn, Jake, Ryan and Nicholas Kohman, and Jared and Kaely Regier; great-grandchildren, Braden, Logan and Trey.
Memorials may be made to the Augusta Public Library.
