Powell H. Heide, 91, Augusta, passed away on Friday, July 18, 2008.
Memorial service at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, at the Leon Senior Center. Followed by military
graveside rites at 4 p.m. at the Leon Cemetery. His survivors
include: wife, Mary; daughters, Terry Bauman and Mariann Affolter; sons, Monte Heide and
Craig Heide; sisters, Nadine Schmidt and Christine Edmunds; brother, Carroll Heide; four grandchildren; two adopted grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Memorials to KSU Ag Department.

Patricia A. Rittle, 51, Augusta, died on Wednesday, July 16, 2008.
Private family service to be held.
Survivors: husband, Robert Belknap; son, Richard Rittle; daughter, Cassandra Dickerson; parents, Rex and Nona Tapp; brother, Roger Tapp; dearest friend, Hazel Pugh; two grandchildren.
Arrangements by All Faiths Mortuary, Wichita.
Dean Miller
Dean Miller, 57, Mayfield, Kan., retired Air Force master sergeant, brother and brother-in-law of Roger and Genelle Miller of Augusta, died on Saturday, July 5, 2008.
Graveside service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 26, at the Mayfield, Kan. Cemetery.
Other survivors include: wife, Barbara; daughter, Stacy Miller; brother, Doug; several nieces, nephews, and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Isaac and Roberta, and a brother, Duane.

Benton W. Homewood
Benton W. Homewood, 65, of Wakefield, Kan., passed away on Sunday, July 13. He was retired
from military service. Funeral services have been held.
His survivors include: mother, Lavina Gray of Russell; wife, Bobbie of Wakefield; sons, Travis of Orange Park, Fla., Derrek of Kirtland, NM, and Michael of Mesa, Ariz.; daughter, Mindy Heater of Augusta; brothers, David of Russell and Rocky of Skiatook, Okla.; sisters, Lois Boyd and Vera Karst, both of Russell; seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ernie Homewood.
Memorials may go to the American Kidney Fund.

Timothy Alan McKay, 58, Winfield, died on Tuesday, July 22, 2008.
Service arrangements are pending with Dunsford-Zeiner Funeral Home, Augusta.
