William ‘Bill’ Seaburn
William “Edward” Seaburn, 86, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, formerly of Augusta, passed away Monday, July 28, 2008.
Bill was born Sept. 4, 1921, in Jay, Oklahoma to Ollie George and Lenah Jane (Woolery) Seaburn.
He attended Augusta schools and served in the US Army Air Corps during World War II.
Bill married Joy Cation on May 22,1955, at the First Christian Church in Augusta.
Bill was a tool and die maker for Coleman and retired from Sandia Corp.in Albuquerque
Visitation will be held Thursday, from 6-8 at the funeral home. Funeral service at the First Christian Church on Friday at 10 a.m.
Survivors: spouse, Joy Seaburn of the home; sons, Gary (Peggy) Seaburn, Wichita; Mark (Janice) Seaburn, Albuquerque; daughter, Sherry (Ed) Sears, Wichita; sisters, Nelva (Donald) Wentz, Augusta; Lucille Ewart, Plano, Texas; Dorothy Johnston, Kansas City, Mo.; 12 grandchildren; 15 greatgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a great-granddaughter.

Ronald, “Ron” Syers, 43, Parks Motors General Manager, passed away, Monday, July 28, 2008.
Visitation with the family will be Friday 6 to 8 p.m. in the Garden
Chapel of Watson Reflection Pointe, 3201 S. Webb Rd., His funeral! services will be Saturday, 10:00 a.m. at
Westlink Christian Church, 2001 N. Maize Rd. Burial will follow at Reflection Pointe Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Shirley Syers. Survivors include his wife, Lauri, sons, Joshua and Jordan, daughter, Marissa, brother, Dennis Syers, sister, Donna Richard.
A memorial has been established- the Ron Syers Children's Education fund, do Rose Hill State Bank.

Jack L. Hill
Jack Lee Hill, 73, retired appliance repairman and formerly of Augusta, passed away Sunday, July 27,2008.
Jack was born in Wichita to George Wellington and Nellie Mae (Weekley) Hill on May 11,1935.
He served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict.
His survivors include spouse Shirley Hill; sons Jack (Nanette)
Hill, Cypress, CA, Rick (Kristin) Hill, Marshfield, MO, Chuck Hill, Wichita,
Robbie Wonderlich, Norfolk, CA, Mike Smith, Reno, NV, daughters Kim
(Victor) Larey, Huntington Beach, CA, Linda (Ed) Fox; brother George (Donna) Hill, Wichita; sister, Betty Wasinger, also Wichita; 12 grandchildren, seven greatgrandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial graveside service with military honors will be held Saturday, Aug. 2, 2008 at 10 a.m. in the Cumberland
Cemetery in Douglass, Kansas.
Directions to the cemetery from Augusta: take highway 77 south to 150th and go east to Shumway, at Shumway go south to 157th and then east 3/4 mile to the cemetery on the south side of the road.
