James R. “Jim” Winzer

James R. "Jim" Winzer, 88, Augusta, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2009.
Viewing 1-7 p.m., with family to greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sat-u r d a y
only, and visitation irom 1-5 p.m. on Sunday; service 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 12, all at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta.
Jim was born in Bloomington Township, Kan. on Sept. 14, 1921, the son of the late Dick and Grace (Carter) Winzer. After graduating from Leon Hi£h school, he served in
the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII. He at-
tended Tabor College and graduated from Moody Bible Institute. On June 19,1959, he married Alice Markley at Cumberland Church. Jim and Alice served as missionaries in Jackson, Miss. and Grenada, West Indies. He worked for Coleman and Beech in maintenance retiring in 1987. Jim was a member of Cumberland Church.
He is survived by: his wife, Alice; children, Mark Winzer and wife Cindy, Rebecca Christensen and husband Greg, Tom Winzer and wife Connie, James Winzer and wife Laurie, Paul Winzer and wife Nikki, Janean Duncan and husband Anthony
and Mary Anderson and husband Dave; 40 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by brother, Bill.
Memorials to the Cumberland Church Building Fund.
Arrangements entrusted to Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta.

Walter O. Byfield

Walter 0. Byfield, 82, Wichita, brother of George Byfield of Augusta, died on Tuesday, Oct. 6,2009.
Service was held today.
Survivors include: wife, Betty; son, Blake Byfield; daughter, Lisa Byfield; other brothers, Jim Byfield and Lloyd Byfield; four grandchildren.
Memorials may go to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, American Diabetes Assoc., or Victory in the Valley.
Arrangements by Hillside Funeral Home East, Wichita.

Judy Feil

Judy Feil, 61, Chicago, ILL., formerly of Augusta, died on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2009.
Service arrangements are pending with Dunsford-Zeiner Funeral Home, Augusta.
