Etta May Hurley

Etta May (Boyer) Hurley, 79, homemaker, formerly of Augusta went
home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2009 in Eureka, Kan.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 23, in Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta. Those attending should use the 12th Street entrance.
She was born on May 2, 1930 in Rosalia, to James and Nellie (Snyder) Boyer. She married Charles Grady Hurley on Jan. 21, 1953 in San Antonio Texas.
Etta is survived by: her son, Charles Hurley of Eureka; daughters, Bonnie (Bill) Chriestenson of
Ashdown, Ark., Darlene Brant (Kenneth) Thompson of Sedalia, Mo., Rena Brant (Terry) Welch of Eureka; brother, Charles (Twyla) Boyer of Hamilton, Kan.; sisters. Edith Smith of Augusta, Laura Binger of Wichita, Virginia (John) Hill of Clinton, Mo.; 16 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
one was preceded by her parents; spouse; daughter, Martha Albert; siblings, Barbara Davis, Betty Cornelius, Dorothy Love, Verna Navarro, Florence M. Boyer, and two great-grandsons, Tyler Morgan and Roy Nagy.
A memorial has been established with St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital in care of Dunsford-Zeiner Funeral Home, Augusta.

Ryan L. Thompson

Ryan L. “Chavez” Thompson, 33, of Longmont, Colo, formerly of Augusta, died on Oct. 13 2009.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at the Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. The celebration of his life will continue following the memorial service at the Pump House in Longmont. Cremation is by Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory.
Schedule for a memorial service to be held in Mulvane will be announced later.
Ryan is survived by: son, Sage Howell; daughter, Dallas Haase and her mother Laura Smith; his mother, Ethel A. Thompson; brother, Eric J. (Patricia) Stage; sister, Laura Dennett; grandmother, Clara Thompson of Mulvane; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
