Forrest M. Ward

Forrest M. Ward, 94, Wichita, 28-year employee of Beech Aircraft and United States Army veteran, died on Tuesday, Jan. 26,2010.
Visitation and viewing will be from 1-5 p.m. today and one hour prior to the service at
10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 29, both at Old Mission Mortuary, Wichita.
His survivors include: sons, Forrest (Kaye) Ward of Augusta and Curtis (Cindy) Ward of Haysville; daughters, Mary (Ian) Hamilton, Amarillo, Texas, Emma (Claude) Shipman, Haysville; sister, Ruby Telepaugh, Redmond, Ore.; 16 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Margaret.
Arrangements by Old Mission Mortuary, Wichita.

Rita E. Perkins

Rita E. Perkins, 83, Wichita, mother and mother-in-law of Greg and Pat Perkins of Augusta, died on Monday, Jan. 25, 2010.
Rosary at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29, with funeral mass at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, both at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
Other survivors include: husband, Morris; children, Andrea (Roger) McCoy, Morris “Rick” (Valerie) Perkins, Jr., Michele Shurtz, Hilary (Nan) Perkins, Christopher (Joanna) Perkins, Geoffrey (Trudie)
Perkins, and Jonathan (Mary) Perkins; brothers, John J. Schuckman, Jr. and Alphonse Schuckman; 20 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
Memorial established with Blessed Sacrament Endowment Fund, 124 N. Roosevelt, Wichita, KS 67208.

Doris Ann Quiring

Doris Ann Quiring, 80, long time resident and homemaker of Augusta, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010. Visitation 6-8 p.m. tonight at
Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Service 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 29, 2010 at The First Christian Church, Augusta.
Burial will follow at Wichita Park Cemetery, Wichita.
Doris was born in Wichita on May 17,1929; the daughter of the late Nelse and Luella Davenport. On July 28,1950 she married Charles Quiring who preceded her in death on June 20, 2000. She is also preceded in death by her brother, Neil Davenport. Doris is survived by: three daughters, Serena Eastridge (Mike) of Benton,
Carolyn Prester (Scott) of Wichita, and Sharon Tabor (Chuck) of Augusta; and one son, Charles Quiring (Kim) of Augusta; sister, Freida Thurston of Wichita; 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Memorials can be made to the American Heart Association or the donor’s choice.
