Mercer, 77,
Wichita, died on Tuesday,
March 3,
2010.
Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 5, at Mission Chapel Mausoleum, Wichita. Entombment will follow.
Roy was born on Oct. 27,1932 in Blackwell, Okla., to Leonard Roy and Jo Madeline Raines Mercer. He was a 30 year employee with Cessna and a member of the Douglass First United Methodist Church. He was a loving uncle and enjoyed music, especially Andrea Bocelli, Dino and Daniel O’Donnell.
Survivors include: sister, June Ann (Robert “Bob”) Kittle; nephews, Robert A. (Katy) Kittle, Jim L. (Jaynie) Kittle; great-nephews, James, Jason, Jeremy, Justin Kittle; great-niece, Jaymie L. Kittle; step great-nieces, Heather Hawkins and Amber Keller.
Mr. Mercer was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, George Richard “Dick” Kittle.
Memorials may be made to Douglass First United Methodist Church, 204 S. Willow, Douglass, KS 67039.

Demel, 78, of Rose Hill, entered eternal life on Thursday, March 4, 2010.
Rosary 6 p.m. Sunday and funeral mass will be 10 a.m. on Monday, March 8,2010 all at St. James Catholic Church, Augusta. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Augusta.
Jerry was born on Oct. 5,1931 in Odin, Kan. to Joseph and Mary (Lam-stauch) Demel and was one of 13 children. Jerry was a farmer and retired from Cessna after 32 years, where he worked as a tool & dye maker. He also served in the Army during the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 11 siblings.
His survivors include, wife of 53 years, Geneva Demel; six children,
Susan (Jerry) Clem of Augusta, Glen Demel of Wichita, Mike (Jaryl)
