Rodney Wade Coppage

Rodney Wade Cop-page, 63, an amazing father and grandfather opened his eyes on Aug. 11 for the first time in two and a half years to have his sight and body restored along side Jesus. Rod grew up in Haysville, KS and lived most of his life in Santa Monica, CA. In Santa Monica he was a general contractor and with his creative vision, remodeled and improved many beautiful homes, both in California and in Kansas.
He served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam as well. Rod was an adventurous, selfless man that helped anyone in need, never meeting a stranger.
He is survived by a daughter, DaDean “Denise” Smith and husband Randy of Augusta; grandchildren, Miranda and Colton Smith of Augusta; mother, Thelma Nelson of Haysville; brother, Craig Coppage and wife Vicky of Rose Hill; sisters, Rita Zahard-ka and husband Mike of Fairfield, Calif.; Pam Tilson and husband Chuck of Haysville; and Janet Glennie and husband David of Haysville; several nieces and nephews.
A come and go celebration of his life will be from 6:30 to 8:30 pm on Monday, Aug. 16, 2010 at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. In lieu of cards please send the family your favorite memory of Rod.
Memorial Donations;, may be made to the National Brain Tumor Society or Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center - Hospice Center.
A special thanks to everyone at the VA & the VA Hospice Center, you were so loving and filled Rod’s last days with comfort and amazing care. Also to Dawn Carter, you were an angel and we couldn’t have done it without you.

William Lloyd Jordan

William Lloyd “Curley” Jordan, 81, Wichita, retired Derby Refinery truck driver, passed away on Aug. 13, 2010.
Funeral service was held this afternoon at Resthaven Mortuary, Wichita.
He is survived by: his wife of 61 years, Pat; sons, Lloyd (Sharon) of Fallon, Nev., and Lyle (Carol) of Wichita; sister, Muriel Nixon of Douglass; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded by his parents, William Thomas and Alpha Jordan, and brother, Ralph Jordan.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita,
67202.
