John C.Miller,71,Haysville, retired Cessna Data Manager,died Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010.
Viewing 1-8 p.m., with family present 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 6, at Smith Mortuary in Haysville. Graveside service at 1p.m. Thursday, Oct. 7, at Greenwood Cemetery, 6231 W. 47th St. South.
Survivors: wife, Maxine; sons, Mike (Jana) Miller of Wichita, Keith (Cheryl) Miller of Haysville; daughter, Mindy (Richard) Jones of Augusta; sister, Susan Kelly of Springfield, Mo.; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
Dolly Pittman
Dolly Maxine Pittman, 90, Mulvane, homemaker, died on Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010.
Visitation 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., with family present 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, at Senter-Smith Morutary, Mulvane. Funeral service at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, at Mulvane United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Littleton Cemetery.
Survivors include: children, Ron Pittman of Derby, Paul and Frances Pittman of Mulvane, Janet Doughty of Douglass, Judy and Ken Peterson, Susan and Rich Marks, and Dale and Sandra Pittman, all of Wichita; 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Lloyd Bruce ‘Milo’ Jones
Lloyd Bruce "Milo" Jones, 54, Wichita, former press operater at The Augusta Daily Gazette, died on Sunday, Sept. 26, 2010.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Oct. 9, 2010, Faith Christian Church 2110 W. 45th St. South, Wichita.
A memorial fund has been established in his name at the White Eagle Credit Union in Augusta.
Steven A. Simmons
Steven A. Simmons,
56, of Augusta, passed away Sunday, Oct. 3, 2010.
A memorial gathering will be held from 6-7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 7, 2010, at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta.
Steve was born in San Diego, Calif, on June 11, 1954; the son of Ernest Eugene and Anita Loyce (Cox) Simmons. He had worked as an expediter at Boeing.
He is survived by: his mother, Loyce of Wichita; brothers, Kenneth Simmons (Kim) of Wichita, and Michael Simmons (Valerie) of Eudora; sisters, Darci Needham (Steve) of Wichita, and Rebecca Noel of Lewisville, Texas; eight nieces and nephews; four great-nieces and nephews.
Memorials to the American Diabetes Association.

Marilyn Jean Kidwell, 62, Augusta, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 3, 2010. Service 10 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 7, Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta, followed by a procession to Elmwood Cemetery, 521 E 12th Ave, Augusta.
Born and raised in Augusta, Marilyn graduated from Augusta High School and later Butler County Community College. She was a member of the OES, Augusta Chapter, and worked as a Material Planner for Boeing for over 15 years before falling ill with multiple sclerosis.
She is survived by: parents, Charles Joseph and Jean Marie Kidwell of Augusta; brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Suncha Kidwell, Derby; nephew, Luke Kidwell, his wife Ashley and children Chloe and Bentley, Wichita; niece, Abby Kidwell, Wichita; step-niece, . Stacy Singleton, London and step-nephew, Stuart Singleton, Wichita.
Memorial contributions may be made to the National MS Society, PO Box 4527, New York, NY 10163.
