Frederick Lambing
Frederick “Fred” Lyall Lambing, 60, Wasilla, Alaska, died Oct. 24,
2010, peacefully with his family by his side after an 8 year battle with prostrate cancer.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 28, at Wasilla Bible Church, burial to follow at Ft. Richardson National Cemetery.
Fred was born June 26, 1950 to Elenor Joy and James (Jim) Lambing.
He graduated from Douglass High School in 1968. In the fall of 1968 Fred began college atCalvary Bible College where he met his future wife. He enlisted in the Air Force in Januarakota on Aug. 18,1971. Fred was stationed at Misawa Air Base, Japan in January 1972, where his son Shane was born in November. After 18 months in Japan, Fred was stationed to Altus Air Force Base, Okla, where he welcomed a beautiful daughter, Carrie in May 1974. Fred left the Air Force in May 1976. In July of 1976 his son Wade was
born in Sioux City, Iowa. In February of 1978 another beautiful daughter, Misty was born in Wichita. After working beside his father, Jim, for a time, Fred moved his wife and family to Idaho Falls, Idaho and enlisted in the Idaho Army National Guard in the fall of 1978. June 1993 brought another move, this time to Wasilla, Alaska. While serving in the Alaska Army National Guard fulltime, Fred worked as an instructor at the Alaska Military Academy, readiness NCO for 297th support BN and Intelligence Sgt. for 207th Group. In 1997 Fred was named as the Alaska Senior NCO of the Year.
Fred retired in 1970 and was married to Marie Ingalls at Prairie Home Church, Mud Butte, South Dune 1, 2007 after 33 years of military service. After retirement he spent most of the next 3 years traveling with his wife, visiting family. He especially enjoyed visiting his children and grandchildren and wood working. Fred was totally devoted to his family, his friends, his country, and his God. His family says “We will miss his strong leadership, his loving kind heart and his warm welcoming smile.”
He is survived by: his wife, Marie; sons, Shane Lambing (Kristi) of Portland, Ore. and Wade Lambing (Annadeidra) of Wasilla, Alaska; daughters, Carrie Lambing of Wasilla, Alaska, and Misty Neisen (Peter) of Boise, Idaho; his mother, Joy Lambing of ElDo-rado; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Hugh and Eleanor Ingalls of Mud Butte, S.D.; sisters, Cynthia Ketcham (Phil) of Brazil, South America, and Sandra Borne (Rodney) of El Dorado; grandchildren, Kelli, Kyrstin, Elizabeth, Daniel,
Joseph, Katherine, Ashton, Dakota, Seth.

Junior L.. ‘Sonny’ Mullin
Junior L. “Sonny” Mullin, 76, of Holton, died Monday, Oct. 25,2010.
He was born Sept. 4,1934 at Douglass, the son of Alvin E. and Myrtle E. Williams Mullin.
Junior was a member of the Holton Church of the Nazarene and the Holton Volunteer Fire Department.
He worked for the City of Augusta for ten years, and in 1966 moved to Holton. He worked for he City of Holton Street and Alley Department until his retirement in 1996. After retirement he continued working for the City for 12 at the light plant.
He married Betty C. Mills May 14,1959 at Folly Beach, S. C. She survives, of the home.
Other survivors include: goddaughters, Leather Ann Grogg and Lacey Lynn Grogg; sisters, Wanda Darlene Prosser (Harold) Fern-dale, Wash., and Anita June Higgins (Roger), Lamed; numerous nieces and nephews.
Junior will lie in state after 9 a.m. Thursday at the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Holton where family and friends will meet from 7 to 8 p.m. on Friday. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 30 at the Holton Church of the Nazarene. Burial will follow in the Holton Cemetery.
Junior was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ronald Dean Mullin.
Memorials are suggested to the Holton Volunteer Fire Department for Equipment, or the Holton Church of the Nazarene Building Fund, and may be sent in care of the funeral home, P. O. Box 1034, 66436.
