David Pluimer
David Pluimer, 71, of Clayton, NC and formerly of Kansas City, Kan. lost his battle with cancer Saturday, Oct. 30, 2010.
Visitation 5-7 p.m. Sunday and service 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 8, 2010, all at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta.
s Marine Corps j graveside rites ^will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta.
David had a career with IBM in Kansas City, Tampa and North Carolina with 30 years of service. He then worked as a contractor in Modis/CDI for 12 years at IBM.
He is survived by: his wife, Bea of 49 years; sons, Greg Pluimer and wife Barbara of Emporia, and Dennis Pluimer and wife Brenda of Valrico, Fla.; granddaughters, Kylee and Heather; step grandchildren, Kathryn, Tim and Steven of Florida; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law,
Marge and Karl Crease of Augusta.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society

Walter Harry Paine
Walter Harry Paine, 74, of
Hutchinson, went home to be with his God on Nov. 2, 2010 at Hospice House after a six year battle with cancer.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service to celebrate Walter's life will be 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 6, at New Covenant Presbyterian Church.
He was born Feb. 22, 1936 at Worthington, Minn., the son of Raymond and Edythe Dripps Paine. He graduated from Inglewood (Calif.) High School in 1954. was sergeant in the Caliornia Army National Guard for 10 years before
moving to Kansas in 1969. He was a purchasing manager for Consolidated Manufacturing Inc., having worked there for 17 years. He then served as camp manager for Wichita's First Presbyterian Church Camp near Valley Center for 11 years, and drove a school bus for Buhler USD 313 for eigh years. He was a member of New Covenant Presbyterian Church (formerly Forest Park) and the Hutchinson Ostomy Association.
He married Joyce Ann Heller on June 23,1962 in Inglewood, Calif. She survives.
Other survivors include children: Cindy Rippon (Bob), Benson, 111., Jim Paine, Palm Springs, Calif., Renee Baugher, Hutchinson, and Denise Snyder (Randy), Belle Plaine; his sisters Vaughn McCoy, Augusta, Linda Grayson (Gary), Santa Rosa, Calif., and Sandy Buxton (Carl), St. George, UT.; grandchildren Heather, Dustin, Kelsey, Ashlea, Storm
Serene, and Joshua; many nieces and nephews, and his faithful dog Mandy Sue.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes contributions be made to Hospice and Homecare of Reno County (Hospice House) or the American Cancer Society, sent in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, Ks. 67501.
