Pearl C. Pherigo

Pearl C. Pherigo, 100, of Augusta, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 13,2010.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., with family meeting friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, and from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home, Cottonwood Falls. A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 18, at the Cottonwood Falls United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Prairie Grove Cemetery, west of Cottonwood Falls.
Her survivors are: son, Joe S. Pherigo of Augusta; daughter, Joan Caroline Pherigo Yoakem of Donna, Texas; 8 grandchildren and 16 greatgrandchildren.
Memorials may be sent to the Cottonwood Falls United Methodist Church in care of the Brown-Ben-nett-Alexander Funeral Home, 201 Cherry, Cottonwood Falls, KS 66845.
Helen Harrison
Helen Irene Harrison, 86, of Augusta passed away Sunday morning, Nove 14,2010. Viewing will be from 3-8 p.m., with family 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 17; funeral service at 1 p.m. Thursday, both at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta.
She was born in Augusta and graduated from Augusta High School in .1943, She married Jerry E. Harrison in 1945 and was a homemaker, a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and a member of Community Crossroads Church.
Survivors include: son ,Jay (Julie) Harrison of Augusta; granddaughter, Brooke (Will) Ponce of Kansas City, Mo.; grandson, Stratton Harrison of Augusta; and great-granddaughter Audrey Ponce of Kansas City, Mo..
Helen’s husband Jerry E. Harrison preceded her in death as well as her parents, James and Mary Irene (Markley) McIntosh; sisters, Velma Stage, Lila Jane Shockey, Edwina Peffley; and son, Jerry L. Harrison.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be sent to Community Crossroads Church, 720 State Street, Augusta, KS 67010.
