Colleen Cox, 59,
Augusta, passed away peacefully at her home Saturday, Nov.
20, 2010, due to complications from MS. She was held in the loving arms of her family, friends, and dogs with many tears, but also lots of laughter, just the way she wanted it.
Colleen was born June 15,1951 in Tulsa, Okla, to the late James and Patricia Kirkland. She moved to El Dorado in May, 1962, attended 6th grade at Skelly School, El Dorado Junior High, and graduated from El Dorado High School in May 1969. In July 1969 she married James R. Cox in El Dorado and he survives.
She is also survived by: daughters, Gretchen Cox of Roeland Park, Kan., and Lainie Cox Rawlings (Jarrod) of Augusta; sister, Billee Kirkland Douglass (William) of El Dorado; grandchildren, Katelyn Cox, 7, Gracyn Cox, 3, and Chase Rawlings, 1.
She was employed in the medical field most of her working life, always having a love of medicine. Her Multiple Sclerosis was diagnosed at the age of 27, but she felt fortunate to have so many good, active years.
Memorial services will be held at 11a.m. on Sat-

Chris Martinez, 54, Augusta, passed Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010 Rosary, 7 p.m. this evening; funeral mass, 10 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2010, both at St. James Catholic Church. Augusta. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Augusta.
Chris was born in Wichita, on Dec. 29,1955 to Clarence and Phyllis (Re-quena) Martinez. He worked as a structural test technician at Hawker Beechcraft. Chris had been the political action director for Kansans For Life, a former member of the Augusta School Board, and a member of the Knights of Columbus. On June 26, 1976, he married Kathi Collins at the Church of the Resurrection, Bel Aire. She survives.
Also survived by: son, Blase Martinez; daughter, Mary Martinez; parents; grandson, Sean Isaac Ray.
Preceded by brother, Danny; sister, Cinthia Sue.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Kansans For Life Political Action Committee (PAC) or St. James Catholic Church Building Fund.
