Frank A. Murphy

Frank A. Murphy, 97, of Augusta, passed away, Tuesday, 2011.
Visitation 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., with service at 1 p.m. all Friday, Feb. 4, 2011 at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Private burial at Elmwood Cemetery Augusta.
Frank was born in Lawrenceville, 111. on Aug. 19,1913, the son of the late Frank S. and Julia M. (Hennesey) Murphy. He married Ora Alice (Davis) on March 28, 1937 in El Dorado and they lived on the family farm near Haverhill for 68 years. She preceded him in death on January 10, 2010. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and Jim and a grandson, David.
Frank worked part time hauling papers for the Wichita Eagle, retired from Mobil Oil Refinery and farming. He enjoyed reading in his retirement.
He is survived by: son, Craig Murphy and wife Marilyn of El Dorado;
daughters, Judy Johnson and husband Arthur of Tulsa, Okla., and Sandra Louise Hyden of Vulcan, Mich.;15 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren.
The family requests no flowers and memorials may be given to the donor's choice.

Charles O. Ullum

Charles Oliver Ullum, age 84, of Leon, retired Boeing Aircraft machinist and U.S. Navy WWII veteran, died on Jan. 31, 2011.
Funeral services were held on Monday, Feb, 7, 2011 at the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, Mo. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 10, 2011 at the Leon Cemetery in Leon.
He is is survived by: his sister, Betty Wickham of Visalia, Calif.; his brother, Kenneth Ullum and his wife Billie of Cross Timbers, Mo.; an aunt, Maxine in Washington; several cousins, six nieces, two nephews and many great nephews and great nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Lewis Ullum and Ruth Bell (Lineback) Ullum, and a brother, Delbert Ullum.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Assembly of God Church, 3626 Ohio Street, Augusta, KS 67010.

William M. Puls, 64, Wichita, engineer at Great Plains Industries, died Wednesday, Feb.2, 2011.
Funeral service was held today at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Wichita. Burial followed at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery, Hutchinson.
Survivors include: his wife, Linda, of the home; son, Jon (Kathy), of Andover; daughter, Angela (Andre) Parris, of Wichita; brothers, Gary (Linda), of Wichita;
Galen (Susan), of Albuquerque, NM; and Randy (Susan), of Hutchinson; three grandchildren.
William was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Mildred (Kauth) Puls.
