Irene Cox
Irene Cox, 75, Houston, Texas, retired research technologist at MD Anderson Cancer Center, passed away on Jan. 25,2011.
Interment will’be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 5,2011, at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta.
She is survived by: sons, John William Cox II and Patrick Cox (Cindy), all of Houston, Texas; mother, Eva Sebastian of Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada; brothers, John Sebastian (Margaret) of Peachland, British Columbia, and Fred Sebastian of Regina, Saskatchewan; two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, John William Cox; father, Robert Sebastian; inlaws, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Cox; brothers-in-law, Dr. Hugh Adair Cox and Ger-
ald Bruce Cox.
Memorial donations may be made to The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.
Marie Jahn
Marie Jahn, 80, Augusta, died on Wednesday, Feb. 23,2011.
There will be no service.
She was born in Hazel-green, Ala., but thought of West Virginia as her home state. Las Vegas, Nev. was her favorite of all the places she lived.
She is survived by: son, Mike Jahn (Ming) of Everett, Wash; sister-in-law, Marilyn Hamilton of Haltom City, Texas; brothers, Howard Swick (Connie) of Rose Hill, Clinton Swick (Lois), Theron Swick (Pat) of Augusta, and Gary Swick of Nashville, Tenn.; sisters, Margaret Rexrode of Clarksburg, W.Va., Wanda
Russell of Lumberport, W.Va., and Linda Swick of Benton, Ark.; numberous grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Preceded in death by: husband, Ken Jahn; son, Mark Jahn; sister, De-lores Swick.
Homer L. Peak
Homer L.Peak, 66, Wichita, retired from Hawker Beechcraft, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2011.
Visitation with family present and celebration of life will be 5 - 8 p.m. Thursday, Cochran Mortuary, 1411 N. Broadway (Parking from Market St.) in Wichita. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, at the First Friends Church in Emporia. Interment will follow at Memorial Lawns Cemetery in Emporia.
Preceded in death by his father, grandparents, aunts, and uncles.
Survivors include: his wife, Diana of the home; son, Anthony “Tony” (Tonya) Peak of Falcon, Mo.; mother, Dorothy Lee Peak of Emporia; brother, Howard A. Peak of Neosho Rapids; one granddaughter; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and a multitude of friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established with Hetlinger Developmental Services, 707 S. Commercial St., Emporia, KS 66801 and the American Cancer Society, 818 N. Emporia #100, Wichita, KS 67214.

Leila Gail (Edwards) McKay, age 60, retired postal clerk, Douglass, passed away Monday,
Feb. 28, 2011 at home t after a long, hard fought , battle with breast cancer.
Memorial services will be held 1 p.m., Friday at the Douglass Church of Christ.
She is survived by: husband, James Saltkill of the home; son, Kelley (Rachael) McKay of Augusta; one grandson; step-daughter, Jamie Saltkill of Ocala, FLa.; brothers, David (Wilma) Edwards of Bonita Springs, Fla., and Odell (Karen) Edwards, of Douglass; sisters, Rometa (Keith) Seal, Janelle Edwards of Douglass, and Lori (Daryl) Metheny of Derby; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Ilo Edwards; brothers, Armond and Dennis, and sister, Delight Condon.
