Robert C. Skaer
Robert C. Skaer, 69, of Augusta, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2011.
Service was held on Monday, May 23, 2011 at the Augusta Church of Christ. Burial followed at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta.
Robert was born in El Dorado on May 28,1941, the son of the late Harold and Thelma (Lietzke) Skaer. He graduated from Augusta High School, attended Butler College and graduated from Emporia State University with a degree in business. Robert was a farmer. On March 21, 1971 he married Marilynn S. (Marten) at the Lutheran Church in El Dorado and she preceded him in death on Sept. 8. 2009. A sister, Barbara Stewart also preceded him in death.
He is survived by: sons, Justin Skaer and wife Joli of Douglass, Marten Skaer and wife Julie of Augusta, and Brady Skaer and wife Krissy; grandchildren, Joseph, Kora, Grace, Colten, Anna, Chisum, Libbi and Heidi Skaer.
Memorials to the Robert C. Skaer Memorial Scholarship Fund to benefit his grandchildren.

Eva Jane (VanBib-ber) Flowers, 75, Augusta, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2011, at the Stillwater Medical Center in Stillwater, Okla.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, May 25, at Dunsford Funeral Home & Crematory, Augusta. Graveside service will follow at 1 p.m., at Augusta’s Elmwood Cemetery using the 12th Street entrance.
Eva was born Nov. 20, 1935 in Cashion, Okla, to Russell and Altha Marie (Lunnon) VanBibber. Eva worked as a bookkeeper for Beech Aircraft Employees Club. She married Robert Lee Flowers on June 17,1975 in Miami, Okla.
Survivors include: her husband, Robert Flowers of Glencoe, Okla.; son, David "Brad" Metz of Stillwater; daughter, Leslie Wood of Augusta; step-sons, Robert (Rebecca) Flowers of Upper Marlboro, Md., Darrell (Karen) Flowers of Glencoe, Okla.; step-daughter,
Loren ‘Wayne’ Roman
Loren "Wayne" Boman, 90, Augusta, passed away, Friday, May 20,2011, at Lakepoint of Augusta.
A graveside service was held this afternoon in the Leon Cemetery in Leon.
Wayne was born Sept. 15,1920, to Glenn George and Grace Elizabeth (Curry) Boman in Macksville, Kan. He graduated from Leon High School in 1938. He served in the U.S. Army I during the Battle of the Bulge, and married Obeda Shannon on Sept. 14, 1957. He worked for Mobil Oil as a pump mechanic for over 33 years. He enjoyed hunting squirrels, rabbits, quail, ducks and fishing. Wayne loved his family and animals.
His survivors include: his spouse, Obeda of the home; daughter, Joyce (Lyoren) McCray of Vidor, Texas; step-sons, Lloyd (Kathy Jean) VanDever of Augusta, Floyd "Bub" (Teri) VanDever of Leon, Walter Ray (Kendra) VanDever of Chattanooga, Tenn.; sister, Maxine Shackelford of Russell, Kan.; 12 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
