Lois ‘Sue’ Allen
Lois Irene "Sue" Allen, 85, of Augusta, passed away Friday,June 17, 2011.
Funeral services were held this morning, at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Burial followed at Leon Cemetery.
Sue was born in Anthony, Kan. on Nov. 14, 1925, the daughter of the late Harry and Ottie (Watkins) Seipel. On Oct. 25,1945 she married Byron Lee Allen in Wichita. Byron passed away on April 30,2011.
She is survived by: her daughter, Jodee Mufich and husband Steve of Kansas City; grandchildren, Andrea Deschaine (Ryan), Danielle Suarez (Joel), Jenny Hatchett (Scott), Chad Allen (Ashley), and Chris Allen (Lisa); great grandchildren, Ava, Charlotte, Grace and Olivia Deschaine, Evelyn Suarez, Alii and Sam Hatchett, Zach and Blake Allen, and Kylie and Tyler Allen.
She was preceded in death by her son Michael Allen.
Memorials to the American Cancer Society.

Anastacio ‘Andy’ Torres, Jr.
Rev. Anastacio “Andy” Torres Jr. 72, Augusta, retired United Methodist pastor, entered eternal life on June 16,2011.
Viewing from 3 to 7 p.m., with family present 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, June 20, at Headley Funeral Chapel of Augusta. Funeral service at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, at the First United Methodist Church in Augusta. Internment at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta.
Andy was born Jan. 22, 1939 to Anastasio and Caratina “Carrie” Torres in Marquette, Kan. He married Judy M. Dill of Augusta,on July 1,1961.
, Andy retired from the I United States Army as a Major in 1981. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. Andy served United Methodist Churches more than 20 years including; Had-dam, Morrowville, Kinsley, Belle Plaine, Peck, Halstead, Zion in Wichita, St. Paul and Grandview of Arkansas City. He continued his ministry as a Hospice Chaplain and was blessed to participate in the Brothers in Blue ministry. The time he spent with his family brought him great joy and laughter.
He was preceded in death by parents, brothers, Gregario, Phillipe, Luciano, Videl.
Survivors include: his loving and devoted, wife of almost 50 years Judy M. Dill (parents, Kenneth and Azela Dill) of Augusta; brother, Anthony “Tony” Torres of Chicago; daughter, Lucinda (Wes) Crenshaw of Lawrence, Diana (Donald) Acker of Newalla, Okla., Renee (Dane) Stark of Augusta, Carrie (Heath) Poe of Lawrence; 16 grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Suggested memorials to United Methodist Church, American Heart Association, American Cancer Association, local VFW.
The family extends a special thanks to the Regency Hospital of Northwest Arkansas staff for their dedicated care and love that surrounded him during his final days.

Earl Warne, 64, Wichita, truck driver for J & H Trucking Company of Andover passed away Friday, June 17, 2011.
Viewing from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., with funeral service at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 22, at Bethany United Methodist church in Wichita. Graveside service to follow at 2 p.m. at Kansas Veteran’s Cemetery in Winfield.
Earl served in U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Survived by: his mother, Betty (Dorr) Warne of Wichita; son, Carl (Kari) of Augusta; daughter, Margaret Warne (Chris) of Wichita; brother, Joe (Barbara) Warne of Mulvane; sisters, Helen (Jerry)
Bishop of Pretty Prairie and Wendy (Paul) Smith of Las Vegas, Nev.; three grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his wife Karen, his father Milo and niece Tammy.
