86, AUGUSTA
Betty, May (Watt) Kirkwood, 86, of Augusta, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011, at Kansas Medical Center in Andover.
Viewing will be from 1 to 5 p.m., with family greeting friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, at Dunsford Funeral Home, Augusta. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 20, at Christ Lutheran Church, 1500 Cron, Augusta.
Betty was born Sept. 15,1925, to Frank and Ada (Heinzman) Watt in Miami, Fla. She was a graduate of Augusta High School in 1943 and went to work as a secretary for the Mobil Refinery in Augusta. She married Robert "Bob" LeRoy Kirkwood on Nov. 4, 1950, in Augusta. Betty retired from the Augusta
Schools as a secretary at the middle school. She was an active member of Christ Lutheran Church, Friends of the Library and Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority.
Survivors include: her daughters and their husbands, Linda and Donald Burden of Augusta, and Carol and Clay Wilson of Derby; grandsons, Dean Burden, Brandon Nachbor, Brett Nachbor, Trevor Wilson and Trace Wilson; granddaughters, Michelle Nachbor and Melissa (Brian) Wells; great-grandchildren, Bailey Burden, Crayton Nachbor and Audrey Wells.
She was preceded in death by her parents; spouse; and brothers, Charles and Howard Watt.
A memorial has been established with Christ Lutheran Church, or the Alzheimer's Association in care of the funeral home.

Wilfred M. ’Willie" Patterson, 85, Augusta, passed away Friday, December 16th, 2011. No Viewing.
Service 11 am Monday, December 19th, at Headley Funeral Chapel.
Private burial at Elmwood Cemetery.
Willie was born in Wichita on July 20,1926, the son of the late Frank and Estyll (Reynolds) Patterson.
After graduating from high school, he served in the Navy on the DE USS McConnell. He worked at Knebler Construction for 35 years.
On December 28,1946, he married Betty Broadstock in Augusta and she survives. He is also survived by son, Alan Patterson and wife Marcy of Augusta; daughters, Linda Patterson of Wichita and Colleen Bland and
husband Steve of Augusta; grandchildren Shad Seglem (Robin), Jessica Tipton (Matt), Sarah Black (Jeff), Tristan Bland (Marilyn), Abigail Oliver (Chris), Meghan Morano; great grandchildren Jacob and Tanner Seglem, Corbin and Eli Tipton, Gabe and Isaac Black, Aymon Oliver.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Salvation Army.
