Ernestine Tenbrink
72, BEL AIRE

Ernestine, L. Tenbrink, 72, of Bel Aire, died Wednesday, April 11, 2012, after being diagnosed with lung cancer in 2011.
Private services.
She was the second of four children and was born Dec. 28,1939, to Inez and Ernest Walker in Augusta.
She was delivered at home by an aunt while her father frantically searched for the town’s doctor. She attended Augusta schools, and after a brief working career outside the home, became a full-time stay-at-home mom and eventual caregiver to many of her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father in 1978, and by her only brother Doug, in 2010.
She is survived by: Art, her husband of 44 years; mother, Inez, of Augusta; sisters, Gwen O’Brien of Newton, Sheryl (Jim) Shaffer of Mountain Home, Ark.; daughters, Elizabeth (Stan) Dagel of Towanda, and Vanessa (Gerry) Randolph of Bel Aire.; sons, Steve (Dawn) Powell of Dexter, and Arthur (Shannon) Tenbrink of Derby; grandchildren, Sierra and Amber Whittaker, Allison and Ashlee Randolph, Kayla and Brandon Powell, Abby Ten-
brink, Dane and Seth Swearengin, and Luke Perrin.; her life-long friend, JoAnnRymelof Wichita; Abby, Ernestine’s constant miniature Dachshund companion -her ’’puppy dog.”
The family wishes to acknowledge and thank the dedicated caregivers at Cancer Center of Kansas and LTAC Hospital for their concern and compassion for Ernestine.

Nicholas C. ’’Nick" Applegate, 26, Rose Hill and formerly of Augusta, passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2012.
Viewing 4-6 p.m. Sunday, at Headley Funeral Chapel and service Applegate 6 p.m.
Monday, April 16, 2012, at First Baptist Church, Augusta. Private graveside at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta.
Nick was born in Conroe, Texas on Oct.lO, 1985, to Priscilla Joyce (Applegate) Stanley. He worked as a journeyman electrician for the Local #271IBEW Union.
He is survived by: parents, Priscilla and Steve Stanley of Rose Hill; uncle, Calvin C. Applegate, II and wife Deb; grandparents, Jerry McNeil of Owasso, Okla., Beverly Applegate of Augusta and Linda Worthington of Wichita; step uncle, Britt McNeil of Owaso, Okla., and Minor McNeil and wife Debbie of Hot Springs, Ark.; aunt, Sharon Sue Thomas of Tucson, Ariz.; great aunt, Vercel Campbell of Alabama; and numerous cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Calvin C. Applegate and Marian J. McNeil; grandmother, Bea Stanley; and great grandmother Ruth Campbell.
Memorials to the Kansas Humane Society or the Local #271 IBEW Union Scholarship Fund.

Ryan Anderson
13. LEON

Ryan Gage Anderson, 13, passed away April 10, 2012.
Visitation from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, April 16; service at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 17, both at Dunsford Funeral Home Chapel, Augusta. Inter-
ment will follow in Kechi Cemetery.
He is survived by his parents, Cap and Christie Andreson; brothers, Nathan, Mitch and Derek Anderson all of Wichita, Dylan Anderson of the home; sisters, Taci Anderson of El Dorado and Nikki Anderson of Benton, Ark.; maternal grandfather, James Dexter of Wichita; paternal grandparents, Sharon Anderson of El Dorado and Clayton Anderson of Alma, Kan.
Ryan was preceded in death by his grandmother, Jean Dexter.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund to the Ryan Anderson memorial fund to help with funeral expenses in care of the funeral home.
