81, AUGUSTA
Duane Douglas Rudy, 81, of Augusta, passed away Sunday,June 17,2012.
Visitation 6-8 p.m. Thursday, at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta; service 4 p.m. Friday, June 22, 2012, at First United Methodist Church, Augusta. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta.
Duane was born in Alva, Okla, on March 1, 1931, to the late Nina (Douglas) and Herman Paul Rudy. He served in the U.S. Army in the Ko-. rean War. Duane retired as a librarian at Augusta High School and also worked as a math and English teacher. He was a member of Augusta First United Methodist Church Augusta.
On Aug.16,1959 he married Ernesteen (Lutz) who survives him.
He is also survived by: son, James Rudy and wife Jessica of Midwest City, Okla.; daughter, Alicia Smith and husband Matthew of Wichita; grandchildren, Ben,Jacob and Katarina.
