AUGUSTA — Basil Arnel, 79, retired Union Pacific Railroad employee, died Friday. Service 2 p.m. Sunday, Blooming Grove Cemetery, Bunker Hill. Survivors: sons, Jim of Wichita, Otis of Newton, Wayne of Marquette; daughters, Betty Perry of El Dorado, Wilma Burris of Liberal, Mae Dean Smith of Great Bend; brother, Sterling of Eldon; sisters, Myrtle Bingham of Eldon, Minnie Porter whose address was unavailable. Dunsford Funeral Home.

AUGUSTA —Harley Elwain Kofoid, 36, journeyman electrician, died Saturday. Service 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dunsford Chapel.
Survivors: wife, Caron; son, Shannon of the home; mother, Florence Bergen of Portland, Ore.; sisters, Martha Bing of Enterprise, Myrna Lemire of Portland; grandmother, Mrs. Lee Hughes of Fredonia.

Survivors: husband, Gene; sons, Marion French of Augusta, Delbert French of McPherson; daughters, Betsy Cline, Mary Watson, Jean Welch, all of Augusta, Jennie Barker of Neosho, Mo., Pat Pritchard of Douglass, Rosie Dingman, Elma Good, both of Wichita.

AUGUSTA Pansy Winona Pickrell, 94, homemaker, died Friday. Service 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dunsford Funeral Home. Survivor: husband, Arthur.

Fund to Aid 7 Children Of Augustan
A memorial fund has been established to aid seven Augusta children whose mother and infant brother died last weekend.
Jeanne E. Moore, 35, died Sunday, two weeks after giving birth to triplets. One of the triplets died Saturday at Wesley Medical Center.
A fund has been set up in the Augusta city clerk’s office for the family. Moore’s husband, Roger, is Augusta water superintendant. The five older children range in age from 17 to 9; the surviving triplets remain in intensive care at Wesley Medical Center.
Joint services for the woman and her son, Billy Joe Moore, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Dunsford Funeral Home. Contributions to the memorial fund can be sent to the City Clerk, Box 489, Augusta.
Survivors are her widower, Roger; sons Eddie Hill, Robert, Duke, Kevin and Roger Jr., all of the home; daughters, Tamara and Trish, of the home, and Lorri Westbrook of Augusta; father, Robert Wood of Wichita; mother, Esta Moore of Ozark, Mo.; brother, Monty Wood of Augusta, and sisters, Emily Griffith and Cryullis Wood, both of Springfield, Mo.
