Robert N. Smith

Robert Newton Smith, 80, of Augusta died Thursday, Jan. 2, 1997, at his home.
His funeral service was today at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta. Rev. Howard Friesen of Cumberland Church officiated. Dunsford Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Robert Smith was born Jan. 14, 1916, to Edwin and Gertrude (Howard) Smith in Sedan. He
married Leoti Hague Dec. 23,
1939, in Newkirk, Okla.
He served in the U.S. Army and was a retired oil field worker for Big Four Well Service in Winfield and White Eagle Refinery in Augusta.
Survivors are sons, Larry Michael Smith of Farmington, N.M. and David Whitham Smith of Douglass; daughter, Lenea Michelle Colling of Augusta; nephew, Neal Harris of Stockton, Calif.; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Virginia R. Voyles

Virginia Rose Voyles, 77, of Weslaco, Texas and formerly of Augusta, died Thursday, Jan. 16, 1997.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 19, at Dunsford Funeral Home.
Her funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 20, at Dunsford Chapel. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
Virginia Rose Schoeneweis was born May 19, 1919, to William and Ruth (Eihausen) in Bethalto, ILL.
She married Russell C. Voyles Nov. 21, 1936, in Alton, ILL. He preceded her in death Jan. 17, 1986.
She was a retired sheet metal worker at Cessna Aircraft.
Survivors are sons, Dennis Voyles of El Dorado, Larry Voyles of Meadowbrook, 111. and Chuck Genter of Huntington Beach, Calif.; daughter, Judy Hubbart of Wichita; brother, Robert Schoeneweis of Woodriver, 111.; 14 grandchildren; 25 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

George Ammons

George Henry F. Ammons, 80, of Augusta died Monday, Jan. 13, 1997, at Augusta Medical Complex.
Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15 at Dunsford Funeral Home. The family will receive friends and relatives from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
His funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, at Dunsford Chapel. Joe Slater of the Church of Christ will officiate. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
George Henry F. Ammons was born July 14, 1916, to George Redding and Mable Clare (Dean) Ammons in Wynnewood, Okla.
He married Mabel Branstetter Aug. 30, 1941, in Wynnewood. She survives.
He was a retired aircraft assembly worker at Beech Aircraft and a member of the Church of Christ.
Other survivors include son, Calvin Gene Ammons of Ravenna, Ohio; daughter, Carol Sue Metzger of Alma, Mich.; sister, Mavelene Scott of Cushing, Okla.; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and three sisters.
A memorial has been established with the Church of Christ Building Fund. Contributions may be sent to the funeral home.

Brenda L. Duvall

Brenda L. Duvall, 32, of Augusta died Saturday, Jan. 18, 1997.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until noon Wednesday, Jan. 22, at Culbertson-Smith Mortuary in Wichita.
Her graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22, at Pleasant Valley Cemetery; Bentley.
Brenda L. Schupp was born March 24, 1964, to Herman and Emma (Randall) Schupp in Wichita.
She married Steven L. Duvall Feb. 9, 1991, in Andover.
She was an office clerk at Butler County Community College and a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Augusta.
Survivors are husband, Steven Duvall of Augusta; son and daughter, Dalton and Rebecca Duvall of Augusta; step-daughter, Holly Schnedler of Wichita; parents, Herman and Emma Schupp of Augusta; brothers, Andrew Henson and Mark Schupp both of Augusta; sisters, Kathy Horner of Enid, Okla, Dorothy Onsanger, Rena Doen and Daisy Cross all of Wichita, Wilma Barton of Afton, Okla., and Leona Bowhan of Rock and grandmother, Cora Schupp of Augusta.
Memorial contributions may be sent to the Duvall Children Trust Fund at Commerce Bank, 150 N. Main, Wichita, KS. 67202.
