Vera Maxwell

Vera Effie Maxwell, 93, of Augusta died Tuesday, May 27, 1997, at Augusta Medical Center.
Visitation will be Sunday, June 1, from noon until 5 p.m. at Dunsford Funeral Home.
Her funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, June 2, at First Christian Church. Rev. Bud Billingsley and Rev. Tom Davis will officiate. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
Vera Effie Burwell was born Jan. 26, 1904, in Scott City to John Roy and Laura Elsie (Beeson) Burwell.
She married Oral H. Maxwell April 7, 1921, in Wichita. She was a homemaker.
Survivors are son, Oral H. Maxwell Jr. of Derby; daughters, Marjorie (Maxwell) Riley of Wichita; sisters Elsie Billingsley and Laura Amett of Wichita and Mildred Lucas of El Dorado; four grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1971 and one son, Glenn.

Warren Anderson

Warren Delmar “Catfish” Anderson, 41, of Augusta died Wednesday, June 11, 1997, in Gordon.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. at Dunsford Funeral Home.
His graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, June 13, at Old Mission Cemetery, Wichita.
Warren Anderson was born Aug. 23, 1955, in Wichita to
Vincent Delmar and Evalee (Wagner) Anderson.
He worked for Lawncare Landscaping.
Survivors are sons, Eric Dean Anderson of Oklahoma City, Okla, and David Thomas Anderson of Little Rock, Ark.; daughters Jennifer Anderson and Sarah Anderson both of Little Rock, Ark; mother, Evalee Anderson of Augusta; brother, Carl Alan Anderson of Augusta; sisters Judi Bailey of Wichita, Jacquee Ward of Ogden and Glenda Davidson of Augusta and one granddaughter, Marie Anderson of Little Rock, Ark.
A memorial has been established with Interfaith Inn.
