Harold Luding

Harold Luding, 88, of Augusta died Tuesday, Sept. 28, 1999.
His funeral arrangements were pending this morning at Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta.

Norman Lindal

Funeral services for a former Augusta schoolteacher, Norman Lee Lindal, will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow, Sept. 30, 1999 at the Cochran Mortuary Chapel of Roses in Wichita. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Cemetery.
The 54-year-old Lindal drowned in a Sept. 23, 1999 boating mishap at the El Dorado Lake.
He lived in Wichita and was working as a food service manager with Wendy’s.
He was born Feb. 22, 1954 in Aberdeen, Wash., as the son of Eugene and Juanita Lindal.
He graduated from Wichita North High School in 1962 and Friends University in 1967, earning a teaching degree.
His teaching career spanned 17 years.
Mr. Lindal taught here as well as Miltonville, Wellington, and Rose Hill. He was a football, tennis, and wrestling coach in Augusta USD 402.
After leaving the field of education, he worked in food service for McDonald’s, Arby’s, Kentucky Fried Chicken, and Wendy’s.
Mr. Lindal was a math teacher and coach at Augusta Junior High School in the early 1970s. He also was a manager of the former Lehr’s Restaurant for the Jack Taylor family.
Mr. Lindal leaves his parents, Gene and Juanita Lindal of Wichita; a sister, Colleen Voth of Derby, and two nephews.
Memorials have been established with the Butler County Emergency Medical Service and the Butler County Rescue Squad.

Paul E. Beard

Paul E. Beard, 85, of Augusta died Sept. 29, 1999.
His graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 1, at Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta. Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 30, at the Dunsford Funeral Home chapel.
He was born Aug. 13, 1914 in Haverhill to Theodore and Carrie Beard.
He married Virginia Bokey Aug. 13, 1938 in Blackwell, Okla.
He was a member of the Masons and was a self employed electrical contractor.
He is survived by a nephew Bob Beard, of El Dorado.
He was preceded in death by his wife Virginia.
