L. Webster Died Monday
Lorraine “Rainey” Webster, 68, Rose Hill, died Monday at the St. Joseph Medical Center in Wichita.
His service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Rose Hill United Methodist Church. Rev. Paul Johnson will officiate and burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery.
A memorial has been established with the Rose Hill United Methodist Church and the American Heart Association.
He was bom March 30, 1913 in Rose Hill to Frank and Edna Mitchell Webster.
He married Elva Dill Oct. 19, 1935 in Rose Hill. She survives.
He was a retired farmer and Boeing Military Airplane Co. employee.
He was a member of the Rose Hill United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Mens Choir.
Other survivors include two sons, Larry Webster of Lenexa and Dennis Webster of Rose Hill; two daughters, Rita Johnson of Salina and Bonnie Dowell of Rose Hill; two sisters, Mabel Poston of Rose Hill and Lucille Dennett of Wichita, and 12 grandchildren.
Hilyard-Smith Funeral Home in Douglass is in charge of services.

R.E. Sowers Dies At 60
Ruby E. Sowers, 60, rural Leon, died at home yesterday.
Her services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Leon Christian Church. Rev. Vernon Frantz will officiate and burial will be in the Leon Cemetery.
A memorial has been established with the Leon Christian Church.
She was born May 20,1921 in Bloomington Township to Arch John and Bertha Edna Causey Cousins.
She married Francis W. Sowers Dec. 31, 1938 in El Dorado. He survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Francis W. Sowers Jr., Leon, and Ray Dean Sowers, Wilton, Iowa; a daughter, Peggy Lea Sowers, Texas City, Texas; two brothers, Williams “Les” Cousins, Coweta, Okla., and Gerald “Arch” Cousins of Huntsville, Ala.; two sisters, Carol Wright, Bakersfield, Calif., and Lola Yaple of Mission, Texas, and five grandchildren.
