Gladys Firebaugh
Gladys O. Firebaugh, 87, of Augusta died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 1997, at Augusta Medical Complex.
Friends may call at Cochran Mortuary, 1411 N. Broadway, Wichita, until 8 p.m. tonight.
Memorial service will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, at First United Methodist Church of Augusta. Rev. Vem Bowers will officiate. Private family entombment will follow in Elmwood Mausoleum.
Gladys O. Varner was born Nov. 17, 1909, to Charles O. and Gertrude (Long) Varner.
She married Earl M. Firebaugh July 12, 1928, in Augusta. She was a homemaker.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Chapter AF of PEO and Hypatia Club.
Survivors are husband, Earl Firebaugh of Augusta; sons, Jim Firebaugh of Augusta and Bob Firebaugh of Newcastle, Wyo.; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with Augusta First United Methodist Church.
