Billy J. Jones
Billy Junior Jones, 79, of Apache Junction, Ariz., and formerly of Augusta, died Saturday, Nov. 8, 1997, in Mesa, Ariz.
His memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, at Unity Church of Mesa, Ariz. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta, under the direction of Dunsford Funeral Home. There will not be a graveside service.
Billy Junior Jones was bom Jan. 3, 1918, in Augusta to William “Billy” and Ethel Jones.
He married Phyllis Lietzke July 24,1954.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during world War II and was stationed for three years in Iceland. He operated automobile dealerships with his father and brother for many years in McPherson, Augusta and Pittsburg. He was in the motel business in Augusta with his wife and in Miami, Okla., for eight years. He also worked for R&S Chevrolet
He was a member of John Calvin Presbyterian Church in Apache Junction, Ariz.
Survivors are wife, Phyllis Jones of Apache Junction, Ariz.; sister, Thelma Warren of Opelousas, La.; nephew, Gary Jones of Thailand and one great-nephew, tA./J-^7
