Eileen Murrey

Former Augustan Eileen Murrey, 80, Wichita, died Saturday, Oct. 18, 1997 at Via Christi St. Joseph Medical Center in Wichita.
Her graveside service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21, 1997, at Elmwood Cemetery. Rev.
Chuck Terrell of Haverhill Christian Church will officiate.
She was born June 27, 1917 at Prague, Okla., as the daughter of William Smith and Ruth Thornton Smith.
She was the wife of Kenneth “Friday” Murrey. They were married Dec. 22, 1938 in El Dorado.
This homemaker leaves sons, Dennis Murrey and David Murrey, both of Wichita; sister, Helen Shelton of El Dorado, and three grandchildren.
Memorials to the Augusta Medical Complex Auxiliary have been suggested.
The Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta is in charge of arrangements.


Mable L. Posey

Retired dinner cook Mable Lorene (Redden) Posey, 86, Friday, Oct. 10, 1997 at Augusta Medical Complex.
Her funeral will be 2 p.m. tomorrow, Tuesday, Oct. 14, 1997, at the Leon Christian Church. Burial will be in the Leon Cemetery.
She was born Oct. 29, 1910 in Badger, Kan., as the daughter of Burr Franklin Redden and Julia Kinyon Redden.
She was married to Buck
Carter Posey.
Survivors include James Sharbutt, his wife, Rebecca, their children, James Sharbutt II, Rebecca Countryman, Regina Abbott, Joyce Alonso, and Janelle Sharbutt. Rachell Sharbutt preceded Mable in death.
She also leaves a brother, Roy Redden of Pilcher, Okla.; sisters, Joyce Harrison of Wichita, Vella Smith of Miami, Okla., and Peggy Caldwell of Quapaw, Okla.; six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
The Hillside Funeral Home of Augusta is in charge of arrangements.
