Lewis Kirkpatrick
Lewis Hugh Kirkpatrick, 79, of Wichita and formerly of Augusta, died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 1997, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
His funeral service will begin at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28, at Dunsford Chapel. Burial will follow in Leon Cemetery.
Lewis Hugh Kirkpatrick was born May 19, 1918, in Leon to Samuel H. and Nannie M. (Bates) Kirkpatrick.
He married Norma Spencer Oct. 40, 1940, in Wichita. She preceded him in death in 1988. He married Eleanor Parrish March 1993 in Wichita. She preceded him in death in December 1993.
He was a manager at Boeing before his retirement. He was a Mason and a Gideon and attended the Methodist Church.
Survivors are son, Ronald Kirkpatrick of Marysville, Wash.; daughter, Janet Black of Wichita; sister, Helen Otto of Hemet, Calif.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A memorial has been established with Gideon Memorial Bible, Augusta Camp, P..O. Box 471, Augusta, KS. 67010.
Opal A. Wilson
Opal A. Wilson, 87, of Augusta, died Thursday, Nov. 27, 1997 at Augusta Medical Complex.
Arrangements were pending this morning with Hillside Funeral Home of Augusta. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Opal Alene Henson was born Dec. 23, 1909, the eldest of five children bom to Everett Washington and Alice May (Burbridge) Henson.
She married Raymond Wesley Wilson Jan. 5, 1930, at Shell Knob. Mo. He preceded her in death.
The Wilson lived in the Augusta area since 1951. He was a housewife and mother. She was a member of First Southern Baptist Church of Augusta.
Survivors are daughter, Charlene McDaniel of Augusta; grandchildren, Paige Nelson of Wichita, Mike Ray of Augusta and Ron Ray of Severy.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Fred, Glen and Ralph : Henson and sister, Beulah England.
