Twila M. Hartman
Twila Mae Hartman, 78, died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 1998.
Her graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 16, Elmwood Cemetery. Burl Allison will officiate.
She was a former Boeing Wichita and Cessna Aircraft Co. employee.
She was born Nov. 3, 1919 in Garland, Texas to Ray G. and Lucy Jane (Sec'rest) Hartman. Survivors inclpde son, Garry of St. Louis, Mo., brother, Gail Hartman of Amarillo, Texas; sister, Pat Caskey of Jacksonville, Texas; grandson, Brent Leadford of Wichita.
In lieu of flowers, memorial has been established with the American Lung Association.
The Hillside Funeral Home, Augusta is in charge of arrangements.
Clarification
In the funeral notice of Twila Mae Hartman printed in the Gazette on Friday, Feb. 13, 1998, Burl Allison was listed as the officiating minister in information provided by the funeral home.
Allison is retired and no longer performs such services.

Tuesday, Feb. 24, both at St. James Catholic Church. Burial will be held at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Father James Mainzer will officiate.
She was a former Ballinger Catering employee.
She was born Oct. 28, 1919 in Olpe to Henry and Agnes (Miller) Nuessen.
She married Arthur J McClure, Aug. 12, 1946 in Olpe He preceded her in death on April 16, 1994.
Survivors include sons, Jim, Ken McClure, both of Douglass, Chris of Augusta, Bill McClure of Leon; daughters, Debbie Vittitow of Augusta, Katy Price of Atlanta, Cindy Sheets, Sheryl Frakes, both of Douglass, brothers, Clarence Nuessen, Leonard Nuessen, both of Wichita; sisters, Leona Bauer, Fermina Liggett, both of Wichita, Bemadine Kehres of Olpe, Maryann
Coffman of Emporia; 22 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial has been established with St. James Catholic Church building fund, 813 State, Augusta, KS 67010.

Robert E. Tarman
Robert Eugene “Bob” Tarman, 79, of Augusta, died Friday, Feb. 13, 1998, at his home.
A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at St. James Catholic Church. His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, at the church. Burial will be held at Elmwood Cemetery. Father James Mainzer of St. James Catholic Church will officiate.
He was born Nov. 7, 1998 to Edwin Ray and May (Fresh) Tarman in Augusta.
In recent years, he had worked as a deliveryman for State Street Auto.
Tarman, a rifle marksman, was discharged from the United States Marine Corps in September of 1945. He attained the rank of sergeant and saw duty in the Pacific Theatre of Operations.
He married Renee Demaiziere on April 21, 1972 in Winfield. She survives.
Other survivors includes son, Lt. Jean Paul Tarman of Korea; daughters, Sonya Lank and Cyn-da McFarthing, both of Wichita; sisters, Isabelle Blandin of Aztec, N.M., Wanda Shipman of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Catherine Davis of Winfield; three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
