Enona D. Schmidt
Enona D. Schmidt, 83, diet Tuesday, June 2, 1998 at the
Lakepoint Nursing Center o1 Augusta.
Her funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, June 5, at the Hillside Funeral Home Augusta chapel. Dr. Donald Crisp will officiate and burial will be in Cumberland Cemetery, southeast of Augusta.
She was a retired aircraft sheet metal assembly worker.
She was born March 30, 1915 at Emporia as the daughter of Louis White and Viola Parks White.
She married Henry Schmidt in a ceremony at Winfield. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Schmidt is survived by sons Kenneth Higgins of Genneseo, Howard Higgins of Cullinville, Okla.; Richard Higgins of Ponca City, Okla.; Marc Schmidt of Chapman, Roger Higgins and Leroy
Higgins, both of Augusta, and Henry “Rocky” Schmidt, also of Augusta; daughters, Lisa Henry of New Cambria, Neb., and Shelly Schmidt of Wichita; 37 grandchildren, as well as. numerous great and great-great-grand-children.

Clarence McDonald

Retired barber Clarence “Mac” McDonald, 91, Augusta, died Monday, June 1, 1998 at Augusta Medical Complex Long Term Care Facility.
His graveside service will be 2 p.m. Friday, June 5, at Elmwood Cemetery. Rev. Chuck Terrill of Haverhill Christian Church will officiate.
He was bom July 13, 1906 in Zenda as the son of James and Elizabeth McDonald.
He married Pauline Wright. She preceded him in death in 1974.
For many years, Mr. McDonald operated a Mac’s Barber Shop in downtown Augusta and cut hair at a shop in Estes Park, Colo., during summer months.
Mr. McDonald leaves a son, Richard McDonald of Albuquerque, N.M., and a stepson Jim Ropp of California; step-daughter, Joann Royse of Wichita,several grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.
Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta was in charge of arrangements. - cj
