Eldon L. Banker

Eldon Lloyd Banker, 91, retired pipe fitter for Mobil Oil Co., died Sunday, Sept. 20, 1998.
His funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, at Dunsford Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation is from 1 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Mr. Banker was born June 20, 1907 in flevena to Willard Banker and Estella (Heller) Banker.
He was involved with the Independent Order of Odd Fellows of Augusta, Mystic Tie Lodge 74, AF & AM of Augusta & Consistory of Wichita, the Order of the Eastern Star 211, Rebecca Lodge 350, Western Star Lodge 81, Canton 32, and Encampment 23. He was a past patriarch of the Grand Encampment of Kansas.
Survivors include wife, Irene Stroud Bradley; sons Terry Banker of Oklahoma City, Okla., Phillip Banker of Las Vegas, Nev., step-son Ronald Bradley of Oklahoma City, Okla.; step-daughters Lou Nelson of Slidell, La., Joyce Fisher of Jenks, Okla., Pat Eshelman and Diana Bradley, both of Augusta; four grandchildren; 14 step grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren; 13 step-greatgrandchildren.
The Dunsford Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Clifford Boucher

Clifford Rene Boucher, 68, of Austin, Texas, brother of Bob Boucher of Augusta, died Sunday, Sept. 20, 1998 at his home in Austin.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26 at Amey Funeral Home in Austin,
Texas.
He was born to Dwight and Marjorie (Pierce) Boucher in Rosalia, and grew up in Augusta.
He met and married Glynda Walker when he returned to Augusta in 1956.
Clifford attended Tulsa University on a football scholarship. He served 11 months in the Korean War as Sergeant First Class. He received the Korean Service Medal with three Bronze Campign Stars, United Nations Medal 1 OS Service Bar, and the Bronze Star Medal. He served eight years in the Army Reserve.
He was a partner with his father-in-law for seven years in Walkers Clothing. He was a market representative for the National Certified Livestock Marketing Association, and then a executive director for the Texas Independant Cattleman’s Association, and editor of the Independant Cattleman’s Magazine.
Survivors include: wife Glynda; daughters Shari Rene Rowell of San Antonio, Texas, Sheila Rae Smith, Kingwood Texas; son Christopher Tod Boucher, Kingwood, Texas;
brothers Gilbert and Dale Boucher, Colo., sisters Glenms Allison and Glenna Roberts of Calif.; grandchildren Clifford, Steven, and Amanda Rowell and Ashley and Kaitlyn Boucher; and many neices and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his paretns, his grandparents, and his brother, Norman Dean. _

"Chuck’ Dawson

Charles “Chuck” Dawson, 65, professional truck driver and retired Boeing Employee, died Saturday, Sept. 19, 1998 after a long illness at the Augusta Medical Complex.
His funeral service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept 22, at Dunsford Funeral Home. Visitation from 1 to 8 p.m. tonight. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
He was born July 30, 1933, in St. Joseph, Mo. to Charles Rex Dawson and Eula (Lee) Dawson.
He was married to Nadine Thomas May 23, 1958 in St. Joseph.
He served in the Marines during the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include: wife Nadine; sons Michael of Latham, Kelly of Kansas City, Mo., and Patrick of Wichita; brother Jim Dawson of Shensndoah, Iowa; three grandchildren, Michaal, Aaron, and Darien Dawson.
He was preceeded in death by his daughter, Kathy.
