Opalmae Jackson

Opalmae Jackson, 82, of Augusta, died Friday, Sept. 24, 1999.
Her funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 28, 1999, at Dunsford Chapel in Augusta, with Rev. Howard Friessen, of Cumberland Church presiding. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be until 8 p.m. tonight at Dunsford Funeral Home.
She was born Oct. 10, 1916 to William Francis Clark and Minnie Effie Clark. She married Lewis Carl Jackson Jan. 12, 1936, in Newton. She was a homemaker and attended the Cumberland Church.
She is survived by son Larry Jackson of Augusta; daughter Patricia Ike of Iowa Park, Texas; sister Berneta Lichlyter, of Wichita; eight grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and three great great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lewis Carl Jackson, and brothers, Charles and Richard Lloyd.
Memorials may be sent to the Gideon Memorial Bible Chairman, Augusta Camp.

Glenn E. Kittle

Glenn E. Kittle, 69, Augusta, died Friday, Aug. 6, 1999.
His funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 10, at the First Baptist Church in Douglass, Rev. Neal Alford will officiate and burial will be in the Douglass Cemetery.
Visitation will be possible at the Hilyard-Smith Funeral Home in Douglass until 8 o’clock this evening.
This farmer and truck driver was born Dec. 5, 1929 in Wichita as the son of Elmer Leonard Kittle and Bessie Mae Sumwalt Kittle.
On Jan. 26, 1951, he married Ruth Anne Holmes. She survives.
Mr. Kittle also leaves sons Ed Kittle of Augusta, Ron Kittle of Sumpter, N.C., Larry Kittle of Washington, Iowa, and Bill Kittle of Virginia; brother, Robert Kittle of Douglass, and 11 grandchildren.

Clark Weaver

Clark L. Weaver, 52, of El Dorado, died Aug. 31, 1999.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m Thursday, Sept. 2, at Dunsford Chapel in Augusta.
Graveside services will be held Friday, Sept. 3, at Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta, with pastor Gene Gilmore, from First Assembly of God in Wichita, officiating.
He is survived by his wife Judy, of Wichita, sons Richard Weaver, of Benton, Ark., stepson J. P. Squier, of Augusta, daughters Rebecca Jo Weaver, of Emporia, step daughters Jamie Squier, of Hallotsville, Texas and Jody Squier , of Wichita, sisters Marlene Winn, and Ila Smith, both of Augusta and one grandchild.
Weaver, the son of Louis and Gertrude Weaver was born Feb. 18, 1947. he was a Navy veteran and a former Texaco employee and was a former journeyman for Lee Edwards Construction in E) Dorado, he was most recently k carpenter.

Raymond Floyd

Raymond L. Floyd, 75 of Augusta, died Sunday, Aug. 29, 1999.
He was retired from Watkins Steel where he was a yard foreman.
A memorial service was held today, Sept. 1, at the Jesus Christ Outreach Church in Augusta.
He is survived by his wife Bernice of Augusta, mother Dora Floyd of Wellington, sisters Estalene Morrall, of Amarillo, Texas, Dorothy Langley, of Maynardville, Tenn. Delores • Shofner of Wellington, stepdaughter Ruby Thompson, foster children Bobby Johnson of Berlin, Pa., Ruth Watson of Springfield, Tenn., and Pat Johnson of Houston, Texas. He also leaves four grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
The family suggests memorials be sent to the American Lung Association (ALA).
The Hillside Funeral Home Augusta was in charge of arrangements.

Sam D. Wike

Sam D. Wike Sr., 78 of Derby died Aug. 30,1999.
His memorial service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 2, at Augusta United Methodist Church.
Wike retired from Cessna Aircraft, where he was a machinist.
He is survived by sons Richard D. Wike, of Federal Way, Wash., Samuel D. Wike Jr., of Derby, daughters Pamela White, of Wichita, Judith Ann Crow, of Danville, Lucinda Jane Phillips, of Balch Springs, Texas, brother Virgel Wike, of Whitewater, and sister Delma Pencek, of Bosier City, La.
He also is survived by seven grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren.
