Dollie Bradburn
Dollie Louise Bradburn, 79, of Douglass died Tuesday, Oct. 12, 1999.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 12 at Smith Mortuary in Derby.
She was a seamstress retired from Sears Roebuck & Co.
She is survived by her husband Earl, sons Larry Fleetwood of El Dorado, Jim Fleetwood of Wichita; daughter Patricia Lucas of South Jordan, Utah; sisters Letha Gasaway of Sapulpa, Okla., Lorraine Ator of Okmulgee, Okla., Helen Bolwin of Drumright, Okla.; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Memorials have been established with College Hill Church of Christ, Mulvane and and Rose Hill Senior Center.
Doris J. Knisley
Doris June Knisley, of Augusta, 65, Wednesday, Oct. 13, 1999.
Her funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, at Lakeview Funeral Home in Wichita. Visitation will be at Lakeview until 8 p.m today.
She was a homemaker, born who is survived by her husband, Jim, son Jesse Garton, of Park City, daughter, Lori Harrington, of Douglass, stepson Howard Knisley, of Rose Hill, stepdaughters Brenda Darlington, of Park City, Linda Dick, and Shelly Walker, both of Towanda, sister Dorothy Herter, of Wichita, 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints.
Ruth P. Roberts
Ruth Pearl (Bryngelson) Roberts, of Wichita, 80, mother of Curtis Roberts of Augusta, died Tuesday, Oct. 12, 1999.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 15, at Downing & Lahey Mortuary East Chapel in Wichita.
Visitation will be until 8 p.m. tonight.
She was a retired Wichita Eagle circulation department head clerk.
She was born Jan. 19, 1919 in Wichita to Epphraim and Bertha Brynglelson.
She is also survived by other sons C. W. Roberts Jr.. Dallas Roberts and Donald Roberts, all of Wichita; daughters Virginia Roberts of Haysville, Patricia K. Roberts of Wichita; brother John Bryngelson of Wichita; sister Pauline Rich of Wichita, 11 grandchildren, and 15 greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles W. Roberts Sr. and great-grandson Cody Sean Blue.
Memorials have been established with Veterans Affairs Chaplain Service, 5500 E. Kellogg, Wichita, 67218 and American Diabetes Association, 3210 E. Douglas, Wichita, 67208.
H.L. Smotherman
Homer Lee Smotherman, 73, of Turpin, Okla., died Thursday,
Oct. 14, 1999.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m tomorrow, Oct. 16,
1999, in Liberal and at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 18, in the Dunsford Funeral Home.
Friends may visit Dunsford’s Saturday evening and from 9 a.m. until service time Monday.
His family will be in Augusta Sunday afternoon staying at 1608 Robbins.
He was born May 7, 1926 in Mountain View, Mo., to Homer and Beatrice Smotherman.
He was married to Dee Fullerman on Feb. 20, 1954 in Springs, Ark.
He was a retired aerospace engineer for Boeing, a graduate of Augusta High School, served in the Navy in World War II and he played pro-baseball for the Cleveland Indians for four years. He was a member of the United Methodist in Turpin and a former member of the Elks.
He is survived by his wife Dee, daughter Dee Ann Livingston and husband Terry Cokeley, of Turpin,
Okla., sisters Rita Beth Dewing and Ilene Smith, both of Augusta, and Icel Isaacs of Wichita, grandchildren, Matthew and Stephanie Livingston and two step-grandchildren Amber and Chris Cokeley.
Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
