Juanita E. Bacon
Juanita Elizabeth Bacon, 74, of Eureka died Sunday, Nov. 14, 1999.
Funeral services was held on Thursday, Nov. 18, 1999 at First Baptist Church in Augusta, with C. R. Maccchi officiating. Burial will be in Butts-Wakefield Cemetery north east of Pickrell Corner.
She was born June 5, 1925 in Douglass to Everett and Laura Parker.
She married Merle Bacon Feb. 1, 1952 in Mesa.
She is survived by her mother Laura Parker of Eureka, sons Mark Bacon and his wife Nancy, of Claremore, Okla., son Kenneth Nida of Joplin, Mo., daughter Melita McDonald and her husband Mike of Eureka, brother Jack Parker and his wife Nancy of Santa Ana, Calif., nine grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren.
She was and her husband lived in Arizona until 1965 moving to Leon in and then to Augusta in 1988. The couple worked together for 44 years until he died in 1996. She was a long time member of the First Baptist Church
She was preceded in death by her her father Everett Parker, husband Merle, and a son Matthew.
Memorials may be sent to the First Baptist Preschool at 1501 State St. in Augusta.

Wanda Clifford
Wanda Mae Clifford, 74, of Augusta, died Saturday, Nov. 20,1999 in Wichita.
Her funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. ‘23, 1999, at First Church of God in Augusta with Rev. Bill Jeffress, church pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
She was born May, 18, 1925 in Oklahoma to Otis and Myrtle Harris Williams.
She was a waitress retired from the Old Ranger.
She is survived by sons Robert Clifford of Augusta, Allen Clifford of Granbury, Texas; daughter Sandra Shivel of Pounding Mill, Va.; 12 grandchildren, and 14 greatgrandchildren.
Memorials to the Warren Clinic, Pediatric Oncology, St. Francis Hospital, 6161 S. Yale, Tulsa, Okla. 74136-9989., have been suggested.

Joyce Marie Kester, 70, of Augusta, died Wednesday, Dec. 1, 1999.
Her funeral service will be 1 p.m. 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3, at Hillside Funeral Home of Augusta with Dr. Donald Crisp officiating. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery.
She was a ward clerk at Augusta Medical Complex.
She was married to Thomas Kester in Muskogee, Okla, on Feb. 10, 1951.
Mrs. Kester leaves husband, Thomas; sons Russell Hartness and Wesley, both of Augusta, Thomas of San Diego, Calif., Kevin of Sedgwick; daughters Deborah Sproul of Augusta, Brenda Snyder of Gillette, Wyo.; brother Jack Woolman of Pawhuska, Okla.; 17 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the American Diabetes Association.
Georgia Thrasher-Halier
Georgia “Jo” Thrasher-Halier, 67, of Augusta, died Monday, Nov. 22, 1999.
Her graveside funeral services will be held on 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 27, 1999 at New Bethel Cemetery in rural Anderson, Mo.
She was a former resident of Denver and Longmont, Colo. She was a retired architectural administrative aid.
She is survived by her mother, Mary Ruth Thrasher LaFon of Lakepoint Nursing Center in Augusta; sister Velma R. “Vicki” Simmons of Augusta; brothers Lloyd Thrasher, Dennis Thrasher, Jack Thrasher, and sister Vivian Vancil, all of Anderson, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her father Charles C. Thrasher, brother Billy Dean, and sister Nita Walter.
A memorial has been established with Hospice Inc. P.O. Box 3267, Wichita, 67201-3267.
Broadway Mortuary in Wichita is in charge of arrangements.
Lola Mae Pouncey
Lola Mae Madison-Pouncey,
81, of Augusta, died Wednesday, Dec. 1,1999.
Her funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, at Hillside Funeral Home Augusta with Father Samuel J. Pinkerton officiating. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery.
She was born Aug. 8, 1918 in Hornick, Iowa to Arlo and Dorothy Gilbert.
She is survived by son Wayne Madison of Augusta, daughters Nancy Lawson of Augusta and Carol Boucher of Claremore, Okla., 13 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husbands Donald W. Madison and James O. Pouncey.
A memorial has been established with the St. James Catholic Church Building Fund, 813 State.
