Lucille Ralston

Lucille Elise Ralston, 87, Augusta, died Sunday, Dec. 3, 2000.
Her funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6, at First United Methodist Church of Augusta, 2420 N. Ohio. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
She was born Oct. 5, 1913 at Barnes to Dr. Albert and Emma (Cain) Weiss.
She graduated from the University of Kansas and attended the University of Pennsylvania.
On June 28, 1939, she and Harold F. Ralston were married at St. Marys. He preceded her in death in 1997.
Mrs. Ralston taught five years, two at Augusta Junior High School, and worked for 30 years in social work. She was a social worker, supervisor, and regional program director. She was active in helping set up social programs in this area.
Her organization memberships included Order of Eastern Star 211, Outlook Club, Community 40, Past Matrons Club, and the Augusta United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Ralston leaves two sons, Bradley Ralston of the home and Rand Ralston of Wichita, and a sister, LaBerta Hattwick of Fort Collins, Colo.
Memorials to the First United Methodist Church of Augusta have been suggested.

Leonella Nelson

Former Augusta resident, Leonella Nelson, 86, died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2000 in Wichita.
Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic in Montevideo, Minn. Interment will be in the Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Montevideo.
Memorials may be made to Hospice. Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo is in charge of the arrangements.

“Bill” Hailey

Retired Kansas Gas Service foreman William H. “Bill” Hailey, 68, Augusta, died Friday, Dec. 1,2000.
His funeral service was held today, Dec. 4, at Christ Lutheran Church, 1500 Cron.
He leaves his wife, Mildred of the home; daughter Vanessa and son-in-law Jeff Johnson of Wichita, daughter Marcella and son-in-law Mark Sandry of Kalispell, Mont.; brother, Alvin Hailey of Elmdale; sisters, Jane Miller of Lost Springs and Ruth Sollner of Burdick, and Dotty Olson of Logans Port, Ind.; grandchildren, Hailey and Taylor Johnson of Wichita, Brock and Luke Sandry of Kalispell, Mont.
Memorials to the Christ Lutheran Church and the American Lung Association for Pulmonary Fibrosis Research, 4300 Drury Lane, Topeka, KS, 6604 have been suggested.
The Hillside Funeral Home of Augusta was in charge of arrangements.

Caroline McNaught

Former Augustan Caroline A. McNaught, 70, Wichita, died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2000.
Her funeral service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5, at the Broadway Mortuary in Wichita.
McNaught was the co-owner of Roots & Wings Pattern Co.
She is survived by her husband, Douglas McNaught Sr.; sons, Douglas McNaught Jr. of Mooresville, N.C., Dana McNaught, and Mark Allen McNaught, both of Wichita; daughters, Julia Marie McLeod, Jane Anne Jungers, Sara Lynne McNaught, and Mary Beth Slayden, all of Wichita; brother, Howard VanOrman of Wichita, half brothers, Max and Russell Applegate; 13 grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
The Broadway Mortuary of Wichita is in charge of arrangements.

Timothy Shinkle

Truck driver Timothy J. Shinkle, 39, El Dorado, died Friday, Dec. 1, 2000.
His funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, at the Hillside Funeral Home of Augusta.
Survivors include his wife, Kristie Shinkle of El Dorado; daughters, Krystal and Samantha Shinkle, both of El Dorado; parents, Larry “Joe” and May Shinkle of Haysville; brother, Terry Shinkle of Valley Center, and sister, Tina Napier of Wichita.
Memorials to the Krystal and Samantha Shinkle Education Fund can be left with Intrust Bank of Augusta, 112 W. Seventh, Augusta, KS, 67010.
The Hillside Funeral Home of Augusta is in charge of arrangements.

Zenita Lonsinger

Zerita A. Lonsinger, 84, Ada, Okla., formerly of Augusta, homemaker, sister of Gladys Smith, Augusta, died Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2000.
Her funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 11„ at Dunsford Funeral Home Chapel. The family will be available for visitation from 1 to 5 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 10, at Dunsford Funeral Home.
In addition to her sister, she is survived by her son, Richard Lee Lonsinger, Ada, Okla.; daughter, Betty White, Andover; 5 grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren.
Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta is in charge of arrangements.
