Sarah Kirchman

Sarah Kirchman, 89, Augusta, died Friday, Jan. 12, 2001.
Her funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17, at the Dunsford Funeral Home chapel.
Visitation will be possible between 3 and 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16.
She was a retired secretary for the U.S. Post Office and Social Security Office’.
Mrs. Kirchman leaves a son, James W. Moore of Augusta; sisters, Buelah Carr of Fort Smith, Ark., Gladys Johnson of Scranton, Ark., Zelma Davis of Tulsa, Okla.; grandchildren, Cathy Chandler of Wichita, Linda Lane of Augusta, Sharon Hanna of Lyndon, Tana Anderson of Lyons, and Jim Lane of Wichita.
She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
The Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta is in charge of arrangements.

Elda Miller

Elda (Fletchall) Miller, 82, retired self-employed seamstress, of Augusta, died Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2001.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 26, at Elmwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Miller is survived by her husband, Milo Miller of Augusta; sons, Arlin Miller of Denton, Texas, Lee Miller of Augusta; daughter, Rochelle Bieghlee of Wichita; sister, Deva Shaffer of Mount Aye, Iowa; three grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
Memorial has been made to the American Diabetes Association.
Hillside Funeral Home of Augusta is in charge of arrangements.

Geneva Maggard

Homemaker Geneva F. Maggard, 82, Augusta, died Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2001.
Her funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 19 at Hillside Funeral Home in Augusta.
Mrs. Maggard leaves her husband, Berlie; sons, John Maggard of Augusta, Michael Maggard of Wichita; daughters, Bonnie Brown of Arkansas City, Janice Bonds of Beaumont, Texas; sisters, Mary Fisher, Dorothy Wilson both of Wichita; 15 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; one great-greatgrandchild.
The Hillside Funeral Home of Augusta is in charge of arrangements.

Homer Stiles

Homer Stiles, 85, self-employed carpenter, of Augusta died Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2001.
His funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 26, at Hillside Funeral Home of Augusta, and a graveside service will follow at 1 p.m. at Riverview Cemetery in Arkansas City.
Mr. Stiles is survived by sons, Wayne Stiles of San Diego, Cal., Linn Stiles of Wichita; daughters, Lucille Hutchins of Garland, Texas, Ruth Ann Rowland of Augusta, Jean Marie Auer of Lumberton, Texas, Marlyn Kay Drews of Moore, Okla.; 13 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren
Memorials have been made to Augusta Medical Complex Long Term Care Facility

J.W.Stevenson

John W. “Jack” Stevenson, 75, of Severy, formerly of Augusta, died Thursday, Jan. 11, 2001.
His service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Jan. 15. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Eureka. Interment and military honors will follow at the Greenwood Cemetery, Eureka.
Mr. Stevenson is survived by his wife, Pat; sons, Patrick Cale of Great Bend, Mark and David, both of El Dorado; daughters, Theresa Barnes of Wichita, Colette Maybrier of Haysville; sister, Virginia Purkey of Fall River; thirteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial has been established in his name with the Greenwood County Historical Museum. Campbell-Kelley Funeral Home, Eureka is in charge of arrangements

Helen Woodin

Helen L. (Bowen) Woodin, 85, formerly of Augusta, homemaker, died Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2001.
A private service is being held.
Mrs. Woodin is survived by sons, William of Pittsburg, Calif., Victor of Renton, Wash.; daughter, Sally Hill of Longton; sister, Delphine Smith of Snohomish, Wash.; nine grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
Zimmerman Funeral Home in Howard is in charge of arrangements.
