William Earl “Bill” Brown, 63, mechanic of Augusta, died Monday, April 2, 2001.
His funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 6, at Dunsford Chapel.
Visitation will be possible also from 1-8 p.m. on Thursday, April 5.
Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, Shirley; sons, Michael Brown of Piedmont, Terry Brown of Augusta; daughters, Sarah Ray of Augusta, Lisa Bom of Nebraska; brother, Kenneth L. Brown of Nashaway, N.H.; sister, Betty Matlock of Hot Springs, Ark.; and eight grandchildren.
Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta is in charge of arrangements.

Donald Eugene “Don” Powell, 73, of Wichita, retired Cessna Aircraft Co. personnel manager and father of Eric Powell of Augusta, died Monday, April 2, 2001.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 5, at Plymouth Congregational Church in Wichita.
Mr. Powell is survived by his wife, Zelph; sons, Eric Powell of Augusta, Mark Powell of Benton; daughter, Cheri Porter of Rose Hill; grandchildren, Andrea Porter, Jennifer Porter, Erika Powell.
A memorial has been established with Plymouth Congregational Church and Hospice Inc.
Lakeview Funeral Home, Wichita, is in charge of arrangements.

Beatrice E. House, 96, Douglass, retired dental assistant, died Tuesday, April 3, 2001.
Her funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 6, at Douglass Cemetery.
Friends and family may make visitation from 1 to 5 p.m. today, April 5, and from 9 a.m. to 12 noon Friday, April 6, at Hilyard Smith Funeral Home.
Charles D. Miles
Charles D. “Charlie” Miles, 79, retired Boeing Aircraft senior supervisor and an original member of the Army Air Corps Flying Tigers during World War II, of Latham, died Sunday, April 8, 2001.
His funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 12, at Leon Christian Church. Interment will follow in Brownlow Cemetery, Latham.
Visitation will be possible from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11, at Carlson Funeral Home in El Dorado.
Mr. Miles is survived by daughters, Marilyn Miles-Stevens of Wichita, Charlene Miles-Oaks of Reno, Nev.; sons, Chuck Miles of Lafayette, Colo., Robert Miles of Susanville, Nev., Randy Miles of Minn., Jeffrey Miles, Timothy Miles, both of Onalaska, Wash.; sister, Joan Miles-Smith and husband, Webb, of Wichita; 25 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by grandson; Eric Dutton; sister, Mary Van Huss.

Geneva Johnson
Geneva I. (Ward) Johnson, 83, homemaker of Galveston, Texas, formerly of Augusta, died Tuesday, April 10, 2001.
Her funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, April 16, at Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 15, at Dunsford Funeral Home.
Mrs. Johnson was born on Feb. 25, 1918 in Charleston, Mo. to Virgil J. and Eva (Frans) Ward. She married Everett W. Johnson in El Dorado on Aug. 3, 1935. She lived in Augusta until 1985 when she moved to Galveston to be close family.
She was preceded in death by husband, Everett; parents, Virgil and Eva Ward; brothers, Earl, Dean, Hubert, Wayne, and Virgil Ward; Jim Johnson and wife Ellen; Warren Johnson and wife Virginia.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by son and daughter-in-law, John W. and Emma Johnson of Vincennes, Ind.; daughter, Patricia Palmer of Galveston, Texas; brother, Glen Ward and wife Loretta of Kansas City; sister and brother-in-law, Roxie and George Phelps of Wichita; sister-in-laws, Doris Ward of Haysville, Helen Ward of Russell, Betty Caldwell and husband, Kelly of Nevada, Mo.; grandchildren, John T. Palmer and wife Yonnie, Tom Johnson and wife, Suzanna, Tracie Zinda and husband, Criss, Doug Hargis; great-grandchildren, Lindsay, Katie, and Joshua Palmer.
