‘Ricky’ Daniels
Richard “Ricky” Daniels, 37, finish contractor of Las Vegas, Nev. formerly of Douglass, died March 27, 2001.
His service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 5, at Douglass Cemetery.
Mr. Daniels is survived by daughters, Brandi Blake of Esperia, Calif., Liza Blake of San Bemadino, Calif.; parents, Bob and Judy Daniels of Douglass; brothers, Robbie of San Jose, Calif., Rod of Augusta,; sisters, Trisha Phillips of Douglass, Terri Mitchell of Merced, Calif., Tammy Millard of Douglass; grandmother, Virginia Edward of Douglass.
Hillside Funeral Home of Augusta is in charge of arrangements.
Margaret Howerter
Margaret Howerter, 85, former Boeing Aircraft employee of Parsons, formerly of Augusta and Wichita, died Wednesday, March 28, 2001.
Visitation will be held this evening from 4 to 8 p.m. at Dunsford Funeral Home in Augusta.
Her funeral will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 31, at Dunsford Funeral Home with burial at Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta.
Mrs. Howerter is survived by sons and daughter-in-laws, Larry and Jeanette of Denver, Colo., Gene D. of Topeka, Mike and Dori of Parsons; grandchildren, Linnea, Kenneth, Chris, Amy, Megan, Robyn, Lexi, Ben; great-grandchildren, Michelle,
Katherine,Claire; brother, Harold G. “Buzz” Bechtold of Midwest City, Okla.; sister, Henrietta Bilimek of Lima, Ohio.
A memorial has been established with Parsons Community Clinic, c/o Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home, Parsons.
O.W. ‘Bill’ Sapp
Ora William “Bill” Sapp, 76, of Lumberton, N.C., formerly of Augusta, died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2001.
His funeral will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, at the First Baptist Church in Lumber-ton, N.C.
Mr. Sapp is survived by wife, Anne Timberlake Sapp; daughters, Janice Sapp, Elizabeth Sapp both of Greensboro, N.C.; daughter-in-law, Gail Michaels Sapp; two grandsons.
Mary E. Dryden
Mary Ellen Dryden, 79, homemaker of Augusta, died April 1, 2001.
Her funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 5, at First United Methodist Church, 2420 N. Ohio.
Visitation will be possible from 1-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 4. at Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta.
Mrs. Dryden is survived by son and daughter-in- law, Gary and Judy Dryden of Augusta; grandson, Brett Dryden of Augusta; granddaughters, Brenda
Storm of El Dorado, Marsha Patterson of Augusta; 10 greatgrandchildren.
A memorial has been established with First United Methodist Church of Augusta or the Augusta Senior Center.

Leroy G. Rutz
Leroy G. “Shorty” Rutz, 69, retired Tramco Inc. sales manager of Wichita and father of Cindy Stone of Douglass, died Friday, March 30, 2001.
His service was today, April 2, at Broadway Mortuary in Wichita.
Mr. Rutz is survived by wife, Jeanie; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Cathy Rutz of Andover; daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and Leonard Stone of Douglass, Shelly Basham and Rich of Wichita; brothers, Orville of Salina, George of Spring Hill, Keith of Eudora, Kay of Overland Park; grandchildren, Taryn Stone, Kelsey Stone both of Douglass, Zack Rutz, Josh Rutz, both of Andover, Morgan Basham, Ben Basham, Haley Bashem all of Wichita.
A memorial has been established with the American Lung Association.
