Margaretta Sayler

Margaretta L. Sayler, 88, retired Bryant Elementary School teacher of Kansas City, Kan., mother of Larry D. Sayler of Augusta, died March 26, 2001.
Her funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 28, at the Zion United Church of Christ in Kansas City, Kan. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 10-11a.m. Wednesday at the church.
Mrs. Sayler is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Sonya Sayler of Augusta; daughter and son-in-law, Jane E. and Terry Perkins of Kansas City, Mo.; five grandchildren, Brian Perkins, Christine Malay, Aaron Sayler, Ethan Sayler, Amanda Forbes; 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband, Dayle C. Sayler.
A memorial can be made to
Zion United Church of Christ.
Porter Funeral Home in Kansas City, Kan. is in charge of arrangements.

David Sherman

David W. Sherman, 68, retired Raytheon Aircraft Co. assembler of Wichita and father of Patricia Schneider of Augusta, died Sunday, March 25, 2001.
His funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 29 at Watson Funeral Home.
Mr. Sherman is survived by wife, Fannie Sue; sons, Mike, Robert both of Wichita; daughters, Debbie Sigafoose of Vancouver, Wash., Patricia Schneider of Augusta; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

May F. Howard

May Florence (McCollister) Howard, 83, retired Andover Elementary School teacher,
homemaker and volunteer and wife of Joe Sparks of Augusta, died Sunday, March 25, 2001.
A private service has been held.
Ms. Howard is survived by sons and daughter-in-law, John Mac Howard and Merilyn Bowman of Wichita, Haldor Mark Howard of Oklahoma City; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia Ann and William Byrum of Austin, Texas; brother and sister-in-law, Floyd W. and Ruth McCollister of Midland, Mich.; several nephews and nieces; husband, Joe Sparks of Augusta.
She was preceded in death by husband, John Haldor Howard; parents C.E. and Ora (Farnaman) McCollister, and sister, Edith Hill.
A memorial has been established with Andover United Methodist Church.
Cochran Mortuary of Wichita is in charge of arrangements.

Glyndon Stark

Glyndon H. Stark, 86, retired Mobil Pipeline Co. station engineer from Lyons, formerly of Guymon, Okla., died on Tuesday, March 27, 2001.
His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 30 at Sillin Funeral Home in Lyons and burial will be at Lyons Municipal Cemetery.
Visitation will be possible from 2 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 29 at Sillin Funeral Home.
Mr. Stark is survived by wife, Margaret of the home; sons, Galen of Odessa, Texas, Glenn of Wichita; daughter, Shirley Summerton of Amarillo, Texas; seven grandchildren; 11 greatgrandchildren.
A memorial has been established with Dakota Boys Ranch. Sillin Funeral Home of Lyons is in charge of arrangements.

Joyce A. Bosley

Joyce A. (More) Bosley, 43, former certified medicine aide, of Wichita and sister of Brenda Cole of Augusta, died Tuesday, March 27, 2001.
Her funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 31, at Viola (Kan.) Cemetery.
Ms. Bosley is survived by sons, David Jr., Jason both of Wichita; daughter, Yvonne Bosley of Clyde; parents, Jesse and Gail More of Viola, Nellie Barron of Wichita; brothers, Larry More of Viola, Christopher More, Harry Barron both of Wichita, Michael Thomas of Sacramento, Calif.; sisters, Judy Neises of San Diego, Calif., Brenda Cole of Augusta, Tina McClure of Derby, Annette Thomas, Barbara Chrisler both of Viola; two grandchildren.
Ebersole Mortuary in Conway Springs is in charge of arrangements.

Lawrence Myers

Lawrence M. Myers, 74, Wichita, retired self-employed real estate appraiser , WW II veteran, and brother of Robert Myers of Augusta, died Monday, May 28, 2001.
Visitation with family will be from 7 go 8 p.m. today, May 30, and funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 31, both at Byrd-Hillside Funeral Home “Midtown.” Burial will be at 12 p.m. Thursday in Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta.
Mr. Myers is survived by wife, Delores; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and John Rogers of Belle Plaine; brother and sister-in-law, Robert L. and Tressa Myers of Augusta; sister and brother-in-law, Marjorie and Ed Crum of Honolulu; grandchildren, Edward and Christine
Sumner.
A memorial has been established with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
